I downloaded the app and was a little annoyed that I didn’t have more customization possible I don’t know if it’s meant to be payed for or what but more customization would be nice I would rate five star but this is a problem for me

Great, but needs a wider support.

Serpent_of_night

It now only supports Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. I would like it to support 3.5 and 4th, along with GURPS and Tunnels and Trolls.

Pretty sweet

I run a custom tabletop rpg game for me and my friends and this is super helpful. I do wish I could make my own stats for the armor and stuff for free, but.... you can’t. Still it’s super awesome and helpful.

Thanks

Great app, thank you.

Been tapping around...

Nice app so far. I’m new to 5E but not to D&D or RPGs in general. Would love to see an enhancement to the die roller to support common character creation throws... for example, the 5E PHB suggests 4d6-subtract-lowest-die for each stat. There doesn’t appear to be a way to do that. Please add this mode so new players who are following along with the book can do things the right way :-) Another thing that would be welcome is if you could batch sets of die rolls - like rolling 4d6 (sans lowest) six times and present the results in a single glance so that a screen shot could be taken and shared with others as a way of saying “yes, I actually rolled these stats, what a lucky halfling am I” :) Lastly, to support character creation, the idea of collecting the results of a die roll set as immutable numbers that the player can drag/drop around on the attribute sheet would be awesome. Say you add a “roll stats” button. It rolls and sums 4d6 (sans lowest) six times, shows you the results, and then puts them in a pool down below the attributes, which are all set to zero. Then you drag/drop each (fixed) number from the pool to an attribute and continue to rearrange them until you’re happy... when you’re done you can click a “confirm” button that locks the stats for this character and boom. Done.

Pretty Good

I really like this app and use it quite often. However there are a few things that are broken within the app. First, the weight tracker is completely broken and is almost always wrong. It registers one to no items. Second, I really wish that there was a way to import your own character designs, to incorporate the infinite character diversity within D&D. Third, some of the items in the inventory are flat out wrong in terms of pricing. For example, rations are listed at 50 silver instead of 5 like the Player’s Handbook states. Fourth, the magic DOES NOT WORK FOR D&D 5E. Fifth, and finally, a really wish that you had some starting packs in the inventory, such as the explorer’s pack, the dungeoneer’s pack, the scholar’s pack, the burglar’s pack and the priest’s pack. These are just a few criticisms I had which I hope will be fixed in the next update.

My opinion

Confuslomate

As an experienced 5e player and dm this sheet will never be allowed at my table. Theres no class features or built-in character creation, it doesn’t show people how to properly play the game. Lackluster is an understatement, if you want to find a good character sheet check out prismascroll or dnd beyond

Absolutely Amazing

I love this app, and it is a ton of fun to use. It’s also really intuitive and I found everything I needed to use in a couple minutes. I only have 3 suggestions: First, I would love to use spell slots because I usually play D&D. Second, I don’t know if they are in the custom shop, but being able to use magic items like Longsword +1. Third, a recovery system for spells, features, and notes. It’s really easy for me to swipe and delete my character’s abilities that I spent several minutes copying. Just a recycling bin or something similar would be great. On that note, I love the app and the aesthetics, and I can tell a lot of love and care has gone into it. Keep up the good work!

Some suggestions

Best dnd app for iOS currently available. Now some critiques: The UI is a little clucky i would love it if it was easier to swap between different pages such as journal and proficiencies easier for the times when i need to make skill checks and take notes at the same time. (Maybe tabs on the side like one note?) swiping side to side to change pages would also be a big plus For the journal a folder system a folder system for orientation would be great to help stay organized over long campaigns (The spell system could also benefit from this so i can put all 1st level spells in a folder.) The health tracker needs a way to keep track of a temporary health maximum (negative energy dmg reduces hp max till long rest) The ability to rename boxes on the default character screen would be great for playing in other rpg systems Or settings with custom rules. Customizable attacks such as including a cantrip in one of the options so i dont have to go to my spell page to see combat options would help Adding folders and/or color customization to proficiencies so that i can tell what stat (str, dex, ect) effects it and can find the skill i am looking for at a glance. Please add an option to turn off some of the animations the drop down is cute but i dont like it while playing because I normally want to get to the page i need asap so i am not holding up the game. Fix all this and you’ll earn the five star and a new premium member XD. But since i know i was critical throughout this review, i want to end by reiterating that this is the best dnd app for IOS currently available and I recommend everyone who got this far to download it. Also devs if you’re reading this good job!

Great Development Team

a super pro

I like this app. It’s the best I’ve found over the years 5th edition’s been out, but it didn’t start that way. See, the best part about this app is that it’s continually under development. The improvements are timely and exactly the next feature I, as another developer, would also have pursued. Feature rollouts are bundled with bug fixes for meaningful and exciting updates. One of the other positive features is how visual the app is. All the icons/images actually help users navigate the app faster and search for the characters/items/spells that they need to find.
