Best app to study for CDL exams

KeenPilot

This app has practice exams for each state, making it more accurate. Must have for anyone about to take the CDL exams.

Premium

Brown Popsicle

I used the free app for a bit and then took the plunge to do the premium version and when I upgraded it did not unlock anything. I paid for the premium and I’m still stuck on free but with less money..

Great app

Honestly this is more helpful than the book

This App is the TRUTH!

I bought the full version all test for only $14.99 and I passed General Knowledge, Passenger and Air Brakes on the first try. Most it not all questions are a carbon copy of what is actually on the test. If you want to have the confidence that you will pass go ahead and download this app, pay the $14.99 and get ready to pass!! Thank you CDL Genie.

I like it, but no device sync.

I have been using this app for about a week. I will be taking my CDL permit written test tomorrow, and will update with the results and how they compare to this prep app. I will say that I do like how this app is structured for the most part. However I am disappointed that there is no way for the test thing to synchronize across multiple devices. For example I have this app on both my iPhone and my iPad and it would be nice for my progress to update across both devices as are use which ever is most convenient for me at any given moment. The fact that they do not synchronize means my phone on my iPad do not know the progress of my prep work on the other, which is extremely annoying. UPDATE: So I used this app to study for my CDL, B, P Air Brakes permit for Michigan. I passed all 3 tests on the first try. And I scored 100% on the Brakes and Passenger endorsement tests. I’ll agree that MOST of the practice questions (I’ll call it 95+%) were EXACTLY the questions on the test at the SOS office. There was a small number of questions on my actual General Knowledge test that I was seeing for the first time while testing. (I got 6 wrong out of the allowable 10, and the test still ended automatically once I had 40 correct of 50). So, was it worth $15? To me, yes. Absolutely. It is VERY MUCH “teaching the test” as an approach, which, philosophically, may not be ideal for actually learning all the concepts and such. But that’s what the state manual is for. I took ALL the practice tests, answering all the challenge bank questions between them. I did this until I passed them all. I took all of the mock exams, passed them all. I spent about a week on this. I still would like to see SYNC options across devices, but I’m pleased with my purchase. It was worth it to me!!

Well worth it

The questions in my state of Illinois were the same as the app. Passed my test in first try. Thank you for the great guidance.

After one week I passed

chaki0108

I bought the full version because I was determined to pass. I took General Knowledge, school bus, passenger, and air breaks endorsement all in one day at the dmv and passed. It’s worth the money and time studying. The questions at the DMV is almost a perfect reflection of the questions here.

Awesome app!!

I gave the APP a chance, I studied with the app and was able to pass my CDL permit test on the first try! It was definitely worth the try. I recommend it to anyone who is trying for CDL.
