Notification settings don't work

I like this app, however, I am very close to deleting due to UNWANTED notifications. My settings for "notifications" are set to receive "Breaking News" and "Weather Alerts" ONLY, but I am still getting "Happening Today" notifications. I require VITAL information ONLY, not the annoyance of looking at my watch only to see a "Happening Today" notice. So what's up with giving the illusion of allowing personalized configuration of notification preferences????

Please get rid of the stupid ads. I would pay for an ad free app as I have done with other apps. On a breaking news story I’ll swipe and the story is about 5 stories down, not the first one popping up.

The app should be changed to “CBS7 History” Whoever is in charge of updating the news on this app either has a lot of days off or is just lazy. If you want 1-2 day old news...the app is great. If you don’t want updates on the weekend... get the app. If you see a fire and wonder what happened.... wait a week and you just might see it on this app.

This is not a good app don’t update on weekends and sometimes doesn’t update not like the other sorry app we’ll not recommend it to my dog or cat waste of time.

I used the app for news, but now you have to watch seemingly endless commercials before you get to their teaser stories. Not worth it. Deleting it today.

You would think that this app would be convenient for someone who doesn’t have social media but it’s NOT. runs very slow & freezes in the middle of an article. Constantly having to refresh!!!
