It’s okay if you like playing once a day

The sim is pretty good but it feels like a pay to play game

Game is very addictive. Been playing for 18 months now.

But now this app seems abandoned. Constantly crashing or freezing up. Can’t complete purchases without signing out and then signing back in. Maintenance is nonexistent. All in all this app is about paying to win. No management skills needed.

Great game, great customer service team!

Very fun game. I’ve kept this app for nearly a year and still visit it daily to play. It does become a day to day game if you do not want to spend money, so if you are wanting to build a great team quickly, this probably isn’t the game for you. The other aspect that’s great is their support team. I’ve had to send two messages and they always respond very quickly and provide information that answers what the question is about.

Boring with slooow progress

Just Chip

They took a fairly good game and made it extremely expensive to play. If you can’t or don’t spend hundreds of dollars on this game it will get very boring very fast as you will progress in months instead of days. Good luck to you if you try this! I’m deleting it!

I really want to like this game, but . . .

I have played this game for over a year, and currently am one of the top thirty players. I really want this game to excel. But it just doesn't. I agree with Greg Costikyan--a good game requires frequent difficult, interesting choices. In a football sim, the universe of choices includes which players to start, and which plays to include in the playbook. It might also include managing the career trajectories of your players, salaries, drafts, and so on. The game has to give you sufficient information that you can assess the goodness of your choices. You need to know, for example, which plays work best, in which situations. So the metrics the app reports back to you after each game need to be sufficiently granular that you can make informed decisions about player and play selection. In this game, the game does not provide sufficient information to assess whether you have optimized your playbook to reflect the style of club you want. So the playbook amounts to guesswork--very frustrating. (This is especially true for the defensive playbook--the offense distills each play to a single number--there, optimizing your playbook amounts to picking out the highest value plays. Defense is just guessing.) Similarly, the choice of players to start is very obvious--you put in the guys with the highest overall number, and are done. There is a single correct choice to make, and making it requires no thought--it is automatic. So in both cases--player choice and play selection--the choices are completely obvious. You make them infrequently, and there is nothing difficult about them. In Costikyan's terms, this amounts to really bad game design. In terms of your experience playing the game, the game amounts to pushing buttons, wait a few seconds, then push again. I have left out a few sub-systems--it is possible to upgrade your players, for example, in various ways. But none of it makes you think all that hard. As a simulation, the game is also flawed. Playing it does not feel like managing or coaching a football team. There are no injuries, and no draft. There is no managing of salaries. And there is no sense of establishing a particular coaching style. Once a game starts, there is no intervention by the plater--its just on to the next push of a button. I have stuck with it this long because all the elements of the game are there to be truly excellent. But so far as I can tell, the product management team behind this game is pretty complacent and passive. Their customer service representatives are nice, and they respond promptly. It's just that there is no commitment to the game, either as a simulation or as a game experience. I don't get the sense that the design team knows much about game design. So much potential here. But in its current implementation, give this one a pass.

Love it

This game is not bad at all you just gotta get into fantasy football

Cool game

1Paulkid

I think it a very fun and cool game. The only problems that I have are that every couple days I can't play because it says it loading. The game just keeps spinning. If they fix that bug maybe a 5 star game. Also, I have some high rated guys I have got with the free coins but can do anything with them, because I have stronger guys at that position. Hard to explain. Unless you play. Give it a try!
