* Different organizations define different breed standards. This app lists all breeds according to the international definition of the FIFe as well as some more. Futhermore, you can use the Cat Scanner app to vote for even more (unofficial) cat breeds to be supported soon.
Disclaimer:
This app can not transform your smartphone into a crazy space ship being able to extract the blood of your cat with a magic laser. The app gives educated predictions based on what it sees. On average, those predictions are quite accurate. However, it‘s obvious that the result can only be as good as the image/video you provide to the app. Furthermore, it‘s impossible to get each and every individual cat detected correctly. People tend to take it personal, if their own beloved cat isn‘t predicted right though. If you give the app a chance in the first place, you‘ll see that its overall performance is pretty decent. Instead of having to pay a lot of money for a DNA test, you‘re getting this app for free. Enjoy!

Honestly I didn't think it would be possible to have an app be able to do this but it's crazy accurate when you use multiple photos instead of just one for your cat. Love the app and definitely recommend.
Worst ever.

This app is a waste of time. Gave too many different breeds for the same car scans. Even scanned myself, I was a domestic long hair with tabby and Russian blue. Hmm. FAKE!
Doesn’t Work

The first four times I used this app it worked well; it accurately detected my Maine Coon’s breed, and the results from my domestic shorthair rescue made sense. But after the fourth scan it started giving me a message saying too many people were using the app, and to try again later. I’ve retried many, many times, but get the same message. There’s no way this app is being used that much. I’m assuming it’s a ploy to get you to pay for the ad free version, so for that reason alone, even if I absolutely loved the app, I wouldn’t pay for the upgrade. This useless app is getting deleted!
Tuxedo cat isn’t a breed..

It just would tell me that my car is a tuxedo breed. Which isn’t a breed it’s a type of color your car has. Terrible app was trying to figure out my cat breed.

My cat is a white tabby cat and when I scanned him from fun it had nothing close to a white tabby so this dosent work at all

To parents that don’t like social media don get this, otherwise great app so u can scan your cat ur self and it will tell you what breed it is. It is also basically social media for cat photos lol anyways great app

Love this! Wanted to see what my 12 week old kitten might be, and this had the most ratings. Seems pretty accurate: pegged my Maine coon at 99%. The social feature is nice and the gamification section is fun too. Only thing: it would be nice if, when choosing library photos, there was a crop option before sending it to scan.

They need to do better. It can’t identify the simplest of breeds. It says mixed cats are purebreds & purebreds are mixes/domestic cats. A joke app that is ruining true breed types. People really believe this joke of an app. Put in a pic of a DSH & the app says it’s 99% Maine Coon. So then tried a pic of a titled purebred Main Coon & it came back 81% DLH. 6% Turkish Angora. Appalled, gave it one star, but it deserves no stars.

This app is decent, I like how you can have a feed and post funny pics of your cat and other animals but I am very disappointed in the actual scanner, it’s not accurate at all and said my dog was a Siamese cat. It would be a nice feature to add if you could maybe some how block people from commenting on your posts or just block them in general. I would like for the report button to be more recognized because there are a lot of disrespectful and rude individuals. I am very disappointed that nothing is done to the disrespectful people and it makes me very sad because people are truly bullied on both cat and dog scanner and absolutely nothing is done, I left cat scanner because of this reason and I believe the developers need to put a stop to that. I hope you take this into consideration because I am giving you my honest opinion and what I feel needs to be done to improve it.
