Not Enough Gold in the Game, kinda fun.

I’m just here to complain about the Gold shortage like everyone else. I have literally thousands of extra cards but no Gold for upgrades. Please come up with a Solution.

I love tower defense games and this is one of the best I've ever played. The levels are challenging without being impossible. I haven't needed to pay to beat any of the levels, but I've bought a couple limited time offers for the alternate hero powers and to support the developers. The game is beautiful as well! Try it out and I don't think you'll be disappointed! New content keeps being added consistently - I started playing when there were 40-50 levels and there are now almost 160. Keeping up can be a challenge! [EDIT] New updates are always appreciated, and they keep sending them out. Of course that means balancing is an on-going project. One of the last updates took away the ability to find hero skins in chest drops. The Soldier Chest used to give a low chance the find them, the Knight Chest had a better chance, and the Lord Chest guaranteed that you would get one. I am willing to buy SOME skins (particularly with different abilities) as part of a package, and I only do that mostly to support the developers. Useful drops are still too hard to get as well. Gold should not be so difficult to get if gems are the premium currency. Elixirs and reinforcements have become more rare. Perks are very random, and you still end up getting the same, not very useful ones over and over again. I'm just bogged down getting cards for towers and heroes that I have already maxed out and are just piling up. This game is still great, but there is very little replay-ability without the gauntlet or other challenges. [RE-EDIT] Ok, thank you for the direct response, as always. I did not notice any sort of symbol next to the name of the skins before, but the only ones that I do not have unlocked are called "Gauntlet Champion" etc. so they must have been from past events that I missed. The game is great for the genre, but I wish it were more re-playable on its own. I log on every day to beat the quests, but once that is done I find myself getting bored quickly. If there is not a gauntlet or another event going on (and that's mostly waiting on the timer), there isn't much point to replaying the regular levels since I already have perfect scores and most of the towers and heroes maxed out. I am having fun leveling up Mason, but I do find it a bit odd that you don't actually need to use a hero to gain experience. The card system is faster, but it makes it more effective not to use new heroes... It would be great if there were ways to reliably grind for items that are still useful like elixirs, reinforcements, perks, etc. Even if random drops were more common (especially gold) when you played levels it would make it more fun to be able to open more soldier chests. It's fun to play levels when you can use items more freely, but I don't want to keep paying in endlessly just to keep a game interesting. That's when it's time to find a new game.

I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 1 because the video ads don’t give the promised reward half the time. I watch the entire video and wait for it to end but it says video failed try later. It doesn’t even give you a chance to watch another video, you have to wait hours to try again and it will likely fail then to. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.

I’ve been playing this game for quite awhile. It’s fun but after this latest update every time I try move along the story line I get a pop up that says please stay with us while we’re loading. I find this ridiculously frustrating. So, I’m going to see if it will load the past levels at least. If not, adios.

If you like tower defense games you’ll love this. Perfect balance between difficulty and strategy needed to complete levels. Changed my rating from 4-2 because not only did the crash issue not get resolved, but now you barely get any coins to continue game. (Update): The game’s been updated many times since my last review and the crash issue still hasn’t been solved. Starting to think it’s intentional. You watch an ad, then get nothing for it because the game crashes

Extremely challenging without spending LOTS of $

An extremely well done game that can be a lot of fun except when you hit the point where it’s really, really hard to progress without spending money. The coin shortage is ridiculous. It can harm how fun the game is at times. It was great that the game changed from needing tons of different items to level up towers and heroes to just a single card for each tower or hero, but now I have loads of cards (seriously, THOUSANDS of extras — I have 7,000 Eris cards and about 2,000 for each tower) and not enough coins to actually use the upgrade cards. If I could sell extra cards for coins, then that would help enormously. Maybe if it takes 10,875 coins and 150 cards to upgrade a tower, then you should be able to sell 150 cards for half of the 10,875 coins (so you’d have to gather 3x as many cards as you’d normally need, since 2x would go to coins). Also, if there were an ad when stars and coins are awarded that increases the coins received by 50%, then I would always watch that ad. I don’t bother with the ad that awards extra cards. I have too many cards already. Oh, and it’s super annoying to watch an ad, then have the game crash at the end of the ad, but before rewards are received. If I didn’t have so many cards already (just watching ads for the chance of coins), then I’d have rage quit a bunch of times. I’d guess that the game crashes about 1 in 10 times after an ad. Today I got a new error after an ad. After being defeated on a map, I was given the option of watching an ad so I could start with additional elixir. After the ad finished (and from the static ad page offering to download the advertised game), I clicked close and was given an error something like “You must wait for the ad to finish”, when the ad had clearly finished. I was thrown back to the game map (level selection), rather than being taken back to the map where I had been defeated, so no extra elixir for me. *sigh*

I got this game right when it came out ( with in the 1st week), love the game. I love the fact idea of fighting monsters off from your homeland. You feel like you are in the game at most by level 30.

I like the game - the graphics and the concept are great, but I have to agree with the others - gold is absurdly hard to earn, and stupidly expensive to buy. So first, you spend some money to buy diamonds to upgrade towers and heroes with cards, and then you realize, that you can’t upgrade them without spending 10 times the amount of money to buy gold with the diamonds. So you are stuck with a bunch of cards and no gold. And the game is getting more and more difficult, so I am not even sure how those who do not spend money on games can play it at all. Developers, please, fix the game. You are selling hero skins that do not work. I’ve already bought 2 of the them for Kayleen - different abilities, and neither one of them works. Thank you for fixing it so fast!
