My mistake for not doing hours of research. I purchased this expecting a paid weather app would offer push notifications, and after learning that Carrot is the only weather app that currently is approved for critical alerts. Disappointed to learn that notifications require a paid subscription. Also, shame to Apple for not having a better way to allow severe weather alerts to bypass DND. We can’t get a simple, reliable and free way for multiple weather apps to overcome a do-not-disturb setting to notify people of an imminent tornado — no wonder we can’t un**** ourselves out of a worldwide pandemic.
