CARROT is God

iPhone X issues

JGTXO

How is this not optimized for iPhone X? Cool app I use the weather app all the time and wanted more carrot, but the lack of support for iPhone X is a huge turn off. 1 star until they fix this.

No more searching for a To Do app!

Happy monion in training

I don’t write reviews for anything, but I just have to write one for this one! I love Carrot! I’m a procrastinator by nature when I have tasks I really don’t want to do but have to. I overcame a lot of that in my adult life, until I developed health problems that cause chronic pain. Having this problem can make getting even activities of daily living challenging. I was actually searching for a gamified app that would really motivate me to get things done in a fun way but at my own pace. Most gamified apps actually tend to distract me even more. Not Carrot! Although I could easily cheat and check off tasks I hadn’t done in order to keep her happy and to gain rewards, I choose not to cheat. That’s my one rule...don’t mark off tasks I haven’t done. Carrot is simple enough that I can make my list as detailed or as short and simple as I feel I need to depending on my frame of mind each day. Sometimes I need to list almost every little thing I plan to do so that I feel a sense of accomplishment even in the mundane every day tasks. Sometimes, I just need to be able to visualize the most important and non-recurring tasks, and Carrot allows me to do this simply and quickly, so that I can spend less time creating lists and more time getting those lists completed. I would’ve marked Carrot a 5 star, but there are a couple of really important things that she’s missing. First, in recurring tasks, she doesn’t allow you to set a task for more than once a week or month. This is important to me because I have some tasks that recur 2-3 times a week. Second, I would like to see future tasks placed in a separate file and then reappear on the day that they are due, instead of being moved to the bottom of the list. That would make it easier to just glance at the list and see how many tasks I have left to do that day. Third, it still helps me to be able to view a calendar while creating my daily do lists. Can Carrot please develop the ability to sync with the iPhone calendar, similar to how she can be linked to the iPhone do list through Siri? And lastly, sub tasks. Some tasks are done in stages and I like to check off those stages to show where I am in that tasks. I’m on level 32 now, so I’m not sure if any of these features are already included and I just haven’t earned them yet. I know the idea of Carrot is to be simple to navigate. I think it still can be with these added features. I’ve found with the features she currently has that you can earn, she’s still extremely simple to use and not very time consuming. Also, I have written a request before to please make her available on Android in the near future. And don’t ever sell her to any company that would make her more complicated like so many other productivity apps. Being both simple to use AND having all the features that users want at the same time, just doesn’t exist in other apps. CARROT, for the most part, achieves both. Thank you so much for creating her!!!!

My...

My Phone has talked to my laptop, and they commanded me not to write anything bad about Carrot ToDo or I would end up like that guy in the car on his way to edge of the solar system...and without any accompanying photos.

I fear the Carrot

TrigonometryMigraine

It actually motivates you to get things done, which is something no to-do list has accomplished for me before. The motivation comes from fear of the wrath of Carrot (also the fact that it’s pretty fun).

Best App in History of the Word

This is the best app in the history of the world. Oh and CARROT weather is pretty cool too. Honestly makes me smile every day and makes me get stuff done.

Cool Idea

The app is a cool Idea but you have to earn points to do the things I really wanted to do from the start.

Great fun!

I love CARROT. It pushes me to do what I need to do, but there aren’t any negative repercussions in app other than her getting really angry at you, and that’s more funny than anything. I’ve tried several different list/to do/productivity apps and this is one of my favorites by far.

Super fun

Super fun app. Needs to integrate with Apple Watch next.

Best and favorite task app

I’ve tried several dozen. I’ve got ADHD, and a slew of other mental health issues and this app is just effective and hilarious and has grim humor like me. If you’re someone who sometimes literally can’t function without lots of external motivation, here’s a great app. If you’re set off by angry comments, there’s a cheat for chilling CARROT out so she doesn’t shame you. And it’s still awesome. Very very helpful with my various recoveries. One thing- it would be even better if there were a way to have more than one list at a time. And I love the other CARROT apps. Brilliant!
