Noticed the app doesn’t record too well on cloudy or gloomy days. It goes in to excessive brightness then to excessive dark mode back and forth constantly and makes it really difficult to watch video. The developer needs to update software to compensate for low light mode, especially for early morning or for low light/fog areas.

Does what needs to happen, and very well at that. What more do you need? Longitude, Latitude, Speed, Direction, Time/Date, Compression Control, Clip Length and Clip Count. Unit can be used with a non-carrier activated phone. It can go on practically any hardware that isn’t vintage. I have one facing backward and frontwards. This app doesn’t phone home or leech data. Checked with wire shark.

When I first saw the latest update, I was pleased to see that the developer was still supporting the app, as it hasn’t received an update in a while. However, to my dismay, this update has made the app useless. From having the video freeze for a few seconds at a time (the clock is still ticking but the picture is still) to having a completely black screen for the duration of the recording, I can no longer use this app effectively. I will re-review once this is fixed. Either roll back the update, as the last one was working flawlessly, or make a new update that corrects these issues. Additionally, the following things should be fixed or added: • Deleting clips should be instantaneous. It used to be, but with the latest update the app freezes for upwards of one minute before deleting the clip • iPhone X should be supported • It would be nice to have the option to add custom text, say, in the upper right of the screen next to the time stamp, speed, etc. And as another user mentioned: • Add ability to record just video with no audio • Add ability to switch between front and rear cameras on the phone
It just doesn’t work

I tried using it and it would just not work if I was also charging and / or using Bluetooth to send music or be able to use the phone hands free in the car. If unplugged and Bluetooth off, it would work. This renders the app useless for me at this time, unless there is some magical iPhone setting that I can change to make the apps and inherent phone services work together, it will be a delete.

Doesn’t save video recordings on iPhone X. I performed a clean install (deleted/redownloaded) and checked privacy settings to “allow” not sure what happened.

If it had the ability to run in the background AND the ability to set it a certain amount of memory to be used for videos where when you passed that limit it deleted old ones then this would be a 5 star app. Right now you might as well just start recording video from the Apple camera app. It's about that useful. Also, you can't listen to music while using this app.

This is full featured dashcam app that allows you to choose from numerous recording options resulting in high quality recordings. You can choose to save the number video clips and their duration. I give this app 4 stars but will raise that to 5 stars once it is upgraded for iOS 9 as it crashes on startup.
Not Happy - does not record while in background

App works fine....however the moment you switch to use another app it stops recording. I purchased this app as part of a bundle which includes a speedometer type app. You can't use both. So while this app is recording you can't use anything else (example GPS program). When you switch back it does resume recording. It needs to be able to run in the background otherwise useless for me.

This was a great program till I upgraded to I OS 9. Now when I run it robbery after about two seconds it closes. So disappointed. Hope they update it soon.
