Loved the app when I first got it but like another reviewer, the app stopped working some months ago and I instantly thought of writing a one-star review (cuz ppl love to b***** instead of praise), but after seeing someone else go through the same thing, I trashed, then reloaded the app and now all is as it should be. This app deserves five stars as long as it doesn't leave its customers hanging thinking it just went kaputsky--all they had to do was to send out an Apple Store upgrade and this app would have been reviewed as a five-star app from beginning to end.

One of the best cantonese apps I could find. I grew up speaking cantonese, but as i got older I lost a lot of my ability to understand it. Some the pronounciation could use work. One suggestion is the measure words. I've always had a hard time learning the measure words that go along with nouns, so it would be very useful if they were included in the detailed page.

Yes it does crash frequently even on an A7 chip. It, however, is still the most comprehensive enunciating Cantonese app using (Yut yum) Plus it also enunciates Mandarin (ping yin)and it's English translation or meaning equivalent if it's an idiom. For June 2014, it's as good as it gets unless somebody knows of something better.

I am a expat living in Hong Kong and have tried many Cantonese apps. Pleco is great for Mandarin and also character recognition but this is the best for a genuine Cantonese dictionary. I thought it was going to be lousy as many of these apps are, but wow very handy. I hope it is supported in years to come.

This is a great app. It can tell you the meaning, and accurately pronounces the words in both Cantonese and mandarin. There are not many Cantonese apps like this. What a great app. It is slow and has too many ads.

Best translation app so far. Love that it has audio pronunciation for cantonese. It covers everything u need to know from simplified, traditional, pinyin etc.
