It’s time to play Canasta!
I learned to play canasta with my grandparents and it was a very fond memory. The next place I found to play was on yahoo - and I’m not sure this exists any more. A few years ago I found this app/game. LOVE IT. Many thanks to the developers.
Good game, but computer opponents have knowledge of each others’ cards because they always discard a card that their partner has a pair. I get the “follow me” strategy but it’s like they are playing with one hand between the both of them.
This canasta game is only for beginners. It has many flaws. You cannot block with red threes and you should be able too. Your pRtner is not paying attention ad to how many cards are left in his partner’s hand meaning he holds on too long his cards in his hands so the partner doesn’t know what he has that is fatal really. Many times he is found holding cards that could have made melds in former rounds. Also he keeps his jokers far too long and in going out he is left holding them. So that is why this game is faulty.
The random shuffle is so bad. Games have gotten so one sided it’s not fun anymore. The amount of 4 red 3s getting drawn is way too often. Something needs to change. I’ve been on the good and bad sides of this happening.
I used to play this game at my grandma’s with the whole family every Saturday growing up! This really brings back good memories for me! If you plan on creating more games, I’d love to see you do rummy (especially Liverpool). Your interface is one of the cleanest I’ve seen!
I made suggestions for improving the app to simulate more realistic “live” game playing. I received a timely reply, but all my suggestions were argued down. This app is illogical and I can’t recommend it. The support response was arrogant at best.
It is great and covers all the rules, feels like your playing at a real table with opponents.
The games says two players, but not so much. This is the weirdest canasta I’ve seen.
