It is a perfect companion to your physical kids books to make story time an immersive, fun, and SCREEN-FREE experience.
How it works:
Using voice recognition, your phone sits to the side and listens, allowing it to follow along as you read your book. When paired with Smart Bulbs, your room can erupt in colored light. Pair it with an external speaker and get a dynamic cinematic soundtrack. Together, you get an experience that is first of its kind!

· Having trouble getting it to pick up your voice? Use the manual mode to trigger effects instantly.
**Campfire still works without needing external bulbs or speakers. Having those just make for a more immersive experience.**
Note: This is an experimental new technology and may have some bugs along the way, but don’t fret, it’s getting better each day, and while the initial library is small, we are working hard to grow it fast!

This app is something that I've been hoping would be created. I have two toddlers and I read to them every single night before bed. This brings the experience to a whole new level. My kids absolutely love how a story can just come to life, from the lights to the sounds to the interaction. They really love that this app can help paint a better picture for them as I'm reading along. This is a must have!

My kiddo and I are loving it so far!! What a cool way to take existing tech and make it into something new and exciting. Only problem is that my daughter wants the lights to do change everywhere we go now haha.

In concept, this app is incredible. With more books added and some further development (I realize it's very new right now) this could easily be a 5-star app and a staple to our bedtime routine with our kids. We have two Lifx lights in one of our rooms and the lighting changes plus the sound effects from the app really take story time to a different level. Though they've started out with a great little group, I would like to see more books added (Mo Willems, Dr. Seuss, Fancy Nancy, etc). Also, some of the lighting changes could be a bit more fluid on some of the stories. It can feel a bit choppy at times. Overall this is a genius concept and while there are some subtle improvements that could be made it's still very cool as is.
Wow, I'd gladly donate to keep this app going.

Reading books like this is pretty cool! It really stimulates the imagination similar to how an audio drama would, but with your own voice. I can't wait for a way to create & submit our own effects layers for our favorite books!

This seems like it would be a fabulous app for any reader of children's books, but. It just isn't working. I tried to set up an account, but it keeps saying "BANG" There was some unknown error. Please try again later. I keep trying and the same thing keeps happening. The tutorial will run, no books are listed, etc. I'll be more than happy to change my rating!
