How does this work?

Stevie_Mix

I just got the Movie Upload app working. It took following the instructions in the reviews. So I figured that with my iPad connected via my apple airport to my camera then the camera access app would be connected but attempt after attempt I can't get the iPad to see the camera. Would have been fun and worth the added expense of getting the camera with the WiFi.

Extremely slow on ipad4

I hope that they fix ths app. As it is now, the remote control of my HF R40 is unusable.

It's OK...

It doesn't use your residential gateway, it provides its own wifi connection. Range is very limited, and there is a substantial delay.

Doesn't work

HF G30 support

Adding the Vixia HF G 30 would be an awesome addition to this application. Please pixela corporation, please add Canon HF G30 to your supported products!

Works

TonyTough13

It works well. It wont work though till u go to your phones wifi settings and select the camcorder first as your wifi source. So steps are 1) select smartphone streaming icon on camcorder. 2) go to phone and settings and select wifi then canon camcorder. 3) run app. Good luck. oh and app will be grayed out if your camcorder is not set up for "standard recording" under recording setup.

Doesn't work, zero documentation

tayperk

Like the title says, this app doesn't work, it just sits on the main screen, and there is zero documentation for help etc.

Not the best tool for wireless view

KatsushiroK

The app comes with no explanation for its configuration and expects its users to know which models it will work with. After connecting via settings on both device and camera the functions given are minimal and offer no fullscreen modes. The disclaimer is the only function in settings gear icon. Overall this app gives you what it promises but for close proximity use it has an awful delay. For its troubles you'd best just use the built in screen...
