Easy capture, good recognition, pops into Contacts

I find this does a really good job (not always perfect) of recognition, which isn’t easy with all the odd fonts and varied arrangements on cards these days. A recent addition to pop the results right into the Apple Contacts makes this a breeze. You can edit on the phone to correct errors or, more easily, clean it up on the Mac and let iCloud sync it back everywhere.

First off beware - clicking the ad to buy from within the free version downloads another app and deleting the free app deletes all your saved contacts. Why?! The scanner works ok. Still had to edit almost every card though. The app keeps trying to save every new card to my Hotmail. I just want it to save every card to my iPhone contacts and there is no way to set that as a default - dev please fix. Lastly there is no notes field, please add.

Sync issue and beware

I was hoping to sync across devices as promised but this app is iPhone only. I think you have to buy a different version for iPad or log into acct through the Internet. Also if it's a concern for anyone this company is in the People's Republic of China. I was curious because of the poor English and in reading the Terms of Service the arbitration clause stated that user agrees to use court in China! Definitely will not be using this app.

Needs more sync options

App is great so far with little error. Recognition is mostly accurate and process is easy to follow. I wish there were more options to sync contacts to other platforms like LinkedIn. More work to do INTSIG but not bad.

Didn't work for me at all I tried it with high end cards with logo designs and crazy layouts so I understand not being able to decipher that. However I also tried it with many simple vista print type cards just a simple and plain, name, email, web and it only got about 25% right, not worth any money in my opinion.

I liked the option available in the old version that let me choose if I wanted the card contacts to be stored just in the card holder. Now they must also be stored in my contacts. I preferred to keep my contacts and business cards separate. If this option was still available I would give it 5 stars.

Hi, 1)Once a business contact is saved into the phone, the app should automatically search the Internet for that contacts "yelp" reviews and for other accounts that business could have (LinkedIn,Facebook, bob,Twitter etc) this would help business oriented people use the best saved contacts available, thus encouraging people to use yelp or other services though this app. A great business partnership that would help CamCard and its potential affiliates while serving the user. 2)cursive handwriting is poorly recognizable or not recognizable at all.Text recognition needs more work. 3)keep up the good work, this app is a great tool for the modern world.
