App actually works pretty well. It captures your counter & surrounding cabinets well. There just aren’t enough color/pattern choices. No dark colors at all.
Was disappointed the samples I wanted to see are not available on the app. Hopefully all of them will be available so we can compare all the beautiful designs!!
I tried mapping out our recently installed cabinets to see what the quartz we were looking at would look like. However, it never even started scanning the cabinet outline and sat at 0%. I was definitely disappointed.
I spent over 30 minutes trying various approaches. It seems like it could work, but I couldn’t ever get the grid over our L-shaped counter.
Getting the points to attach to corners and then build the shape were impossible. Maybe it can’t do concave polygons. Too bad.
Works well once I figured out that I needed to put something with texture/pattern on my white counter to help the scanner find the surface; would be helpful to add that hint )to the tutorial. Drained my battery very fast but I suppose that’s normal for an AR app. I took screen shots to save the look of various patterns, would be nice if the app had a save or screen shot button to make this easier.
Although Cambria’s website says this app is supported by my iPhone 7 and iOS 11, never could enable AR. Also, found no further support for this issue in-app or on the website. A very disappointing experience.
I was really excited with the initial promise of this app. It seemed like a great way to check out counter top designs in real setting. Unfortunately app doesn’t even last for 5 minutes without crashing. It also runs through your phone battery very fast. I couldn’t complete even a single scan and design check in kitchen because of all the crashes and battery drains. Great idea, poor implementation.
Great idea and looks good when working. But it times out after about 30 seconds and you have to start all over again. Also doesn’t allow you to actually take pictures you just have to take screenshots. Could be so much better
