The polish and quality doesn't hold up. You can tell the dev loves this game. But the art quality, the animations, and the smoothness of the mechanics doesn't hold up.

There is a problem with bears quest there is a gun icon and u can't even use it .Also it gets annoying when you die that face appears and then takes forever to load

I use an old iphone 4 with IOS 7.something, so it may be a dinosaur but the game's requirements state it only needs IOS 5.somethig. This being said, before the update I played the game all the way through and I loved it; but after this update it now crashes on the title screen/opening animation, so now I can't even play it. I love the game, hence three stars, but unless this crash gets fixed I'll have to uninstall the game. UPDATE: After playing with my phone a bit I managed to get the game up and running. Shame on me for taking so long to figure out that I should just turn my phone off and back on again. Anyways the game works beautifully now and I have changed my three star review to five stars.

This game is an absolute joy to play. If you're a fan of 2-D platform or's this is your game. The controls are precise in tight in the gameplay never gets too cumbersome. It's like a little bitty 2D ratchet and clank mix with wayward souls. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you, developer!

Simply amazing. Maybe I have some bias because I loved the second game but still. This is probably the best platformer on mobile. And certainly the best free one (rivaled by pewdiepie: legend of the bro first and a few others) it's surprisingly not well known but it's amazing. The only thing I don't like about it is once you get the roll I feel it should be another button entirely instead of sliding your finger as that's kinda clunky and hard to control/execute quickly. Other than that it controls greatly it's fun there's a few minor flaws like the ability to weapon level farm and such but it's amazing. Honestly it should be sold for $1-$5... Don't do that but that's at least what it's worth

UPDATE: The newest update adds tons of content! It's baffling really. It's always nice to see a developer is still interested in improving and lengthening there game. I also thought that having the new content so easily accessible was a nice touch. I've seen so many games force you to play through the whole game again just to play the new content. Author's Note: that icon is so awesome. Please don't ever change it. This game is so much fun! It's a great retro throwback with a good story and great graphics. It's also free. This game deserves all the praise it can get. Here's to Cally's Caves 4!

I agree with the review below me. I have an iPhone 4 so sometimes this game does crash. But now because of the update ( and some changes on my phone ;) ) it's fine. The game quality and graphics are great and the story line is good too. I world rate this app five stars any day. ?
