DDOS bot app WARNING

There is something strange about this app that Apple needs to investigate. This app interferes with accessing kobo.com.

Mostly good, few minor issues

ystael

For the most part this app does the job. A few minor issues make it less useful than its Android counterpart. * Can’t sort by custom fields. On Android I use this to sort the collection by LC call number, but here I can’t have the sort I’m used to. * Sort by author lists multi-author works once under each author ... _only_ in list view, not in grid view ... unless the authors start with the same letter, in which case the work is only listed once. This inconsistency is insane. My personal preference would be to have multi-author works listed only by first author in every view, and leave search to find the rest; this is how browse views in standard library catalogs work. But in any case whether the work appears more than once should not depend on choice of view or on first letter of author’s last name! * Scrolling in grid view is sluggish. The hitches on fast scroll are quite noticeable.

No longer connects as wireless device

At one point in time this worked wonderfully to sync my ipad with my Calibre library. When I try to connect now it connects and starts its “initial sync” but after 30 or so seconds it appears to disconnect. No error is given. It just silently fails. I don’t have the time or patience to deal with bad software. It’s bad enough that it fails but it’s even worse that it fails with no explanation. Your mileage may vary. You may never trip over the issue I’m experiencing but since I’ve got no way to tell what happened to cause this it’s possible you may.

Wasted my money

NikkiDavis

I didn’t know I had to have the original calibre on a computer before putting it on iPhone. I think I wasted my money on all the books I got since I have no idea how to get them from .epub to kindle

Does not work and won't return my money

Dad's dad

This app will not pair with the computer version and Apple will not return my money. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP.

An alternate way to upload reading material

khike7

I don’t want to pay for someone else’s paid storage service, so I have tried Calibre Companion as an alternate way to upload and read books. The interface with Marvin is good. Also, I send some material to Write PDF. But it’s Calibre Companion that makes the transfer possible. Thank you!

Good App but Definitely Could/Should be Improved Upon

ShaneJ017

This was a good purchase in my opinion, but there are quite a few glitches and download from content server issues I have noticed. Also, I really wish this app had a dark mode since the white really hurts m eyes.

Non-intuitive crap

Sto99

This app does not work with Calibre on my Mac. I cannot get it to sync as Compaion just keeps displaying the same error messsges regardless of what I do. There is NO HELPFUL support info for what I am expecting experiencing. Whoever did final testing on this crap at Calibre should be fired-either didn’t work or so complicated that nearly impossible to get to work. So Calibre got $4 from me. Way to go Calibre

Awesome

Fuckthisishbtch

Awesome app. Have it on android as well. Only reason rating isn't higher is because people are dumb. Worth every penny

Could this be any more difficult to figure out?

Ghmimi

Breathtakingly non intuitive.
