Wow

Influxsin

I've only just begun with this but I actually had to stop just to come here and tell the developers thank you. This is by far the most visually original app I've ever seen here. Thank you!

Love this game!

It's not often you find a game that has it all, but this one certainly does! If you're looking for a game that you can lose track of time with, look no further. You'll quickly be caught in the net of the Brothers Beard, journeying with them on the adventure of a lifetime to places unknown. Along the journey, you'll be struck with the creativity, storytelling and humor of the game, as well as the gorgeous artwork and the innovative interface Brain & Brain have come up with. The one of a kind soundtrack is totally amazing as well. Creativity, great storytelling, humor, fantastic artwork, innovation, music, and the ability to replay with different discoveries each time - like I said, this game has it all!

A waste of money.

I've never written a review on an an app before, but this app has led me to do so. I do it so that you all save the money and time that I have wasted. I was enticed by the simple graphics and even the name. I like simple things which seem out of the ordinary and stand apart from other things. This app seemed interesting and so I went ahead with the purchase. After having played the app three or four times I realized that it is just the same scenario being played out with little variation. It is the Ground Hogs Day of apps. It's really not worth the money. At the end of each scenario the app gives a code which can be entered at the app web site which offers to sell a booklet for thirty dollars. It really comes across as a scam. Sound effects are sort of cheesy, too. I give it one star for effort.

Gorgeous and cheerful adventures at sea

Wow, this game is beautiful! Art like an animated children's story book, with clever animations and a neat exploration mechanic. Multiple story lines, too!

Short & Sweet

Illustrations & music are wonderful! But, I will say I was thoroughly disappointed with how short it was. I have played through the storyline about 8 times now, mostly I think, in hopes that I had missed something. Unfortunately, it seems to only be a 4 stop adventure where 2 of the stops are predetermined for you (& the same every time). This doesn't leave much to do in a game that claims to have story changing decisions throughout. It's cute & would probably recommend it, if it wasn't $5.

Neat design, repetitive

Lovely production values, but quickly becomes too repetitious.

This game flows out of the great barnacled one

I'm not sure what genre Burly Men at Sea belongs in. Perhaps it's own? Brain and Brain have created a truly unique experience with bite sized adventures, an excellent sound track, vocalized sound effects (the guy that did the whale sphincter must have been ill), simple and pleasing visuals, well developed characters, and plenty of humor in the fresh dialog. This game was well worth the purchase. Try it out and poke a loaf of bread for me!

Awful

Not a game? LOL. This is a lovely game!

Reviewers should take the time to actually play and explore before judging. As you play this charming and lovely adventure, you are constantly making choices (though you may not realize it) that change how the game plays out. To really experience all the delightful surprises in this game, I would suggest playing through at least twice. Try to do things a bit differently each time! Explore and enjoy! It's so worth it!

Enjoyable adventure for family time

Burly Men At Sea is simple interactive storytelling at its beautiful best. Each run-through is short and sweet, perfect for story time with the kids or a quick whimsical break from your day. Some of the puzzles can be a little frustrating at first, but not enough put someone off. A grand yet tiny adventure whether you're 5 or 95.
