Remarkably, this is the first app I’ve used that is worse than using the website. The look and feel of the app leaves something to be desired. There are a multitude of missing features that could be added to make the app easier to navigate. Currently, the two ways to arrive anywhere are search and random article. Foe the last 10 minutes I tried, search doesn’t actually do anything. In a situation like this, your only recourse to to hit random and hope it hits what your searching out of the thousands of rich and detailed articles in the database. When search does work, it functions well enough. It certainly isn’t stylish or pretty as this app has all the excitement of a rock you’d find on the side of a highway. There are some positives, however. The app is free (supposedly ad-funded, with option to remove via IAP, but they’re unobtrusive if existent at all). It also sometimes gets the job done. When it does work (looking at you, search), there’s no crashing or stability issues and it loads quickly so no complaints there. The history tab (one of three tabs available) is a nice touch, sorted by date with newest first. The app has the option built in to flush the cache should the need ever arise. These features are enough to at least download the app. Using the app, however, still has the verdict out. 2 stars of 5. Reviewed using iOS 11.1, iPhone 7 Plus.

The search bar sometimes works so that should be improved, but overall it's a great app!

The app won’t let me search and the idea that you need to pay $7 to remove is complete bs, witch is sad because the website is awesome and the idea of a bulb apedia app is awesome but the developers need to get it together.

Love the app since getting back into Pokémon it helps me out a lot but I paid for the no ads which I usually do on games I’ll play a lot but I’m 80% sure I’ve paid it twice and that’s 14 dollars I’ve lost. If you’d fix that then it’ll be a 5 Star.

Great App, 4/5 Love this website and app, but I'm not paying $7 to just remove ads, would only spend $0.99, maybe even $1.99, but $7 is just ridiculous

I love Bulbapedia, and its content is fantastic. However, the app needs to be updated to fully support the screen of the iPhone X.

The apps not the greatest, but I still like it. It does its job. However, I made the in-app purchase to remove ads; however it only works while I’m using the app! When I relaunch it, the ads show up again... so I need to constantly press the “Restore Purchase” in the apps setttings. This is really frustrating. I’ve tried to contact Bulbapedia staff but they have yet to get back to me.

So you try and get people to pay to use this app without ads, but less than a minute into an article I got a porn advertisement. It hasn’t even been 10 seconds and the woman on the video ad ALREADY was touching all over herself and took her shirt off. I couldn’t “x” off of it. Are you serious? Do you NOT know who uses this app? Kids probably use this app. If you’re going to have advertisements freaking monitor them, I didn’t want to see that woman. And that’s not even the gist of it, every freaking page has ads. Will never use Bulbapedia ever again.
