Helpful but not actual Buddha quotes

While I love this app for its positive qualities, as a scholar of the Buddhist cannon (the nikayas) it is hard to ignore the fact that many of these quotes are not actually a part of the Buddhist religion, and have no actual root in the cannon of Buddhist scripture. I cannot say where they come from, but I can only comment that amongst the Theravada Buddhist monastic community we have had a good laugh or two at the inaccuracy of some of these 'quotes' that actually cannot be found to be words spoken by the Buddha. But I hope that others can enjoy and find some inspiration here. With Metta...
