Great APP my pre-k son enjoys it! As an elementary school teacher I highly recommend it!
I'm a mom with three kids who have gone through the learning letters stage and this app is a very handy and fun way to help children learn to form letters properly. It covers uppercase, lowercase and numbers, forming names (or any word really) in English and Spanish. Vowels and consonants are shown in different colors and each letter or number is paired with a representative picture. The child can view the letter being traced on the screen in the proper order, trace over the instruction letter and then try to write the letter independently. Then the child can take a screenshot of their work! It's a great way to turn your phone into a teaching tool.
Very well done! This app can truly help ANYone learn to write. I almost wish I didn't know how to write so I could learn with this app. My kids will love it. Can't wait to see what your encore is.
I love how the app teaches how to write letters in English and Spanish. Incredibly handy for bilingual households with children that love to play with an iPhone or iPad. Really love it!
I updated this app because it stated it gave more room to write name....but...the color choices are in the space to write on....very confusing for the children. Liked it better the old way...at least move the color choices out of the writing box.
This is an ok handwriting app for "typical" kids. Not as good for kids who need more repetition before practicing on their own.
This bites. I paid for this, and it's for beginners....didn't you guys thinking tracing the name part would have been better than not? Glad it was cheap. You get what you pay for I guess, now my review won't submit, wteff?
I love this app. We used the lite version for a while before buying the full version and I can honestly say it was well worth the investment. My son has been struggling with remembering and with writing his letters. If he's writing something and can't remember how to make a "k" I open this app and have him practice a couple of times. I love that this app says the letter, gives a word, then says the letter again. That's exactly how we do phonics in school. Then it shows him exactly how he should be writing the letter (it's very fun to connect the dots and hear the sound). Then encourages, "Now you try!" and there's space for them to write it by themselves right next to where they just practiced. The only drawback I've found is that there's not enough space allotted for kids to write their own name (and my son's name only contains 4 letters!). Great app! Highly recommend!
