Excellent Learning Tool

Strait137

I have 5 years of bridge experience spread over 40 years ... mostly party bridge, but lately duplicate. “Bridge Doddle” is the flash card app I had hoped to find to refine my bidding.

Not enough to review app.

Unfortunately, the free sample is only of 2 (yes, two hands). Simply not enough to see if the game is any good.

Bridge Doddle

Doddle = Easy That is just what this App is. I am very much a sight learner and am looking forward to getting further into this App and sharing it with a partner. We should end up totally 'in sync'. An innovative take using an already successful learning method.

Caution

After going through a couple of the flashcards, I thought I'd look at what was additionally available. In order to get to the information, I needed to sign and once again with my Apple ID. The first item to come up is priced at $199! This may be entirely legitimate, but one doesn't typically find charges like that in the App Store.

Sets are not activated on all my iOS devices

This is an excellent app. However, I am disappointed that the sets I purchased on my iPad do not appear on my iPhone. If this can be corrected, then I would rate this app with five stars!

Amazing app! The BEST out there

I am a new beginner bridge player and found this app by accident when I was trying to figure out if there were apps out there that could teach this complicated new language. This is the best one out there (believe me I have looked!). -It's a flashcard system-question/answer; a hand is given then you bid or respond, apply a convention, or alternatively are given the bidding and asked to interpret what the players have in their hand. The answers are well explained. If you get it wrong it comes back later in a different format. A lot of work has gone into developping this! -Also really helpful is that the screen is unencumbered and the colors are bright -Very easy to use. -It's also growing i.e.: card play being added etc I saw so much potential in this app that I bought the lifelong subscription and so far worth every penny!

Flashcards sets way too expensive

This might be a good program, if the prices made some sense. Download it and check it out. The simplest set of flashcards seems to be $20, in the complete set is $200.

Did not help me

I love bridge!! I have six bridge apps on my phone and am always on the path to improve my game. I hoped this one would be helpful but it really hasn't been. There is no real game play and the advice is not bad but it's limited.
