Breast Cancer: Beyond the Shock

Jo Ann - survivor since 2008

I am so glad this software is on the iPhone! When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, the Beyond The Shock program helped me understand the different types and stages of breast cancer. Armed with knowledge, I felt more empowered and better prepared to fight the breast cancer. The program has been completely rewritten and is even more user friendly than when I depended so heavily on it. You can find answers in it to many of the questions that you forgot to ask your surgeon or oncologist. If you know anyone effected by breast cancer, this is a good resource to recommend.

Really great app.

Fantastic Breast Cancer App!

This is such an informative, educational and helpful app for anyone affected by breast cancer! The videos cover everything from diagnosis to risks to treatment options. And the questions library is a great place to connect with others in the breast cancer community! Ask any question and get answers from survivors or other peers.

Great videos

1 in 8 women will get breast cancer. 70-80% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer. I was one of those. Everyone reacts different. I knew I would hear stories of losing hair, being cut, poked, and burned. The thing that kept my spirits up was the stories of survival. There are not enough out there. You can get info anywhere. Those stories lifted me up and carried me through. Thanks for this app. Good job.

This app is so informative and helpful. Slick design. What a great idea - My grandmother died 12 years ago from breast cancer, and unfortunately, when she was fighting it, no one in my family had any knowledge of what was going on, or how to support her well... A resource like this isn't just helpful for survivors and those battling breast cancer... It's also helpful for the family members too. Powerful. Wish I had this 12 years ago.
