This is the worst app I’ve ever had the mistake of downloading. If I could, I’d give it 0 stars. Honestly, I have to pay $79.99 to shuffle my flash cards? RIDICULOUS.

I made the mistake of spending the day making a deck for an upcoming test only to find out that you need a pro subscription in order to even shuffle the deck. I find that a tad bit insulting considering it's a basic feature among the majority of free and one time purchase apps. I wished there was better distinction between the free and pro plan. This left a bad taste in my mouth and have no motivation to give the pro plan a try at this point. Now I'm stuck with an unusable deck. Thanks!
Definitely a great app

It's entirely way more convenient having flash cards on your phone. I work 2 jobs and still go to school while still trying to do activities on the side and this app really, really helps man. Able to study at work and anywhere else without carrying a bulk of flash cards.

Great features, too expensive

Brainscape had all the features I need, but like many apps these days, the developers push for subscription pricing. The lowest option is $2.99/mo. That's around $35/yr making it a very expensive app over time. I just want a reasonable flashcard app for a reasonable one-time price. Using Brainscape is like renting a Lexus just to drive a block to the grocery store. Too many bells and whistles make this app too pricey for my needs.

I downloaded several flashcards apps to see which one had the best diversity of study options, and though it costs to acquire the options I wanted it seems worth it to me. Like- being able to reverse or shuffle the deck, having deck categories and being able to study them together or alone. Most free apps just don't make the cut for what I need to really study effectively. I was looking for an app that was ideal for making my own flashcards, and not only did I like this one the best for flashcard creating, but it also actually has a pretty wide variety of already made decks that can be download and studied that I like to utilize for the fun of it sometimes. The one thing I really really wish was available was being able to put a gif, an animated photo, or even a video on a flashcard. I haven't yet found a flashcard app that has this option available but it would be so helpful! I am studying sign-language and an animated photo or video option would be perfect. Brainscape would be the ultimate flashcard app if they added a feature like that!
