Worst App Ever

Mr. McSparklepants

The app has very poor help, and the questions I ask are almost never answered nor asked by someone else. Then it says I am banned but I don’t know what I did other than give it a good rating before! But now screw Brainly, because I found a better homework help app which is below this one in the App Store and I recommend this app for everyone I instead of Brainly

Most helpful app

It’s awesome and helps when you are stumped on a question

Hate it

Dahow

So far I think it’s got about 10% of the questions right when it does produce answers. Otherwise I sit waiting for a very long time and nothing shows up. Useless.

A comprehensive review...

For an app to earn each star, I first take a look at the purpose of the app. Is it for entertainment, or is it for learning purposes? After that, I look at a list that I have created that guides me in rating an app. This list includes questions that I believe are expedient for the earning of each star. Since this is a community based learning app, the list that I created is this... 1) Does it help? Answer] I have had to do some observing myself to figure this one out because I don't NEED help with school. I am only on this app to help others that need it. I have seen with my own eyes people getting the help they need and it makes me feel happy inside, especially if I'm the one that switched a light on in there heads. 2) How fast do people get the help they need? Answer] I never ask questions myself, but I've noticed that a lot of questions I've answered are from people who are online at the time I answer them because they immediately thank me for the answer. This means that I'd say yes, people get the help they need quickly for the most part. 3) Since it's a community based learning app, exactly HOW social is it? Answer] this is a hard question to answer, but I think it's social enough to obtain the star, but it COULD use some work. At the end of this review, I'm going to say some features that I think would make the app even better. 4) Do the moderators take care of inappropriate or useless content? Answer] Yes they do. Some people ask really 'off-topic' questions because they like to troll, but the moderators take care of these types of things. They also make sure that bullying doesn't happen. Also, for all of you that fear that this is a dating site, DON'T worry, it's not. 5) How fun is it? Answer] This is a question that usually applies to entertainment apps, however, if learning isn't fun, then who wants to learn? I think it's very fun to help people so I'd say this app earns the 5th star. Things I would add: The bio feature- this would help us select who we want to help us. What we would put in our bio is our school level and then what we think we are best at helping people in. For me, I'm in calculus and I help people with math. The 'request an answer' feature- this feature would allow us to request answers from people. When we finish writing our question, some names will pop up and their bios will show. Also, the number of questions they answered in the subject we are asking a question in will show. Example: if I ask a question about math, people who've answered a lot of questions in math will show up. I can select a few and they will get a notification that somebody wants them to answer. A person search- if I wanted to search somebody, I should be able to with this new feature. The friend-request feature- we should be able to have as many friends as we want, and once we are friends with somebody we could look at our 'friends' and scroll through them to find somebody we need help from. We should call them 'study buddies' rather than friends though. The follow feature- invade they don't want to be our friend, we can still follow them so that when we are asking a question, there name comes up in the 'request answer' bar. I'm a little bit nervous for this part of the app though as it COULD possibly turn into a popularity contest and then eventually a dating site. Moderators would have to step it up if this was added. Make a way to look back at all the questions we've answered Answer/reason page- a lot of people just write answers but no reason for them... and no work. With that being said, for mathematics and science, I think there should be two parts of the answer screen; the first for the answer, and then the second for an explanation. These would make the app absolutely FLAWLESS. Thank you for reading! Best wishes!
