Tried to get into this game heavily and was in love for about a couple weeks... then when I reached level 40+ every player I would run into was a pay-2-win player... even though we were the same average level, he still had all purple items where I just had gotten my first upgrade to a purple item.. No incentive on spending the money just to stay playing the game.. the other option is to start over brand new character and keep doing to that have fun? No thank you

Do not download this game, it’s a scam! It crashed and forced me to restart the game after I had $50 invested in it! Thieves!

First off I’ve played almost every boxing game on android and the App Store...for iPhone...and Boxing Star blows them all away!!! I mean it’s not even close, the story mode is a great option and it is loaded with all kinds of fighters...and the league fights are a great way to build up your fighter and earn rewards to build up your jabs...upper cuts and hooks...along with so much more this game will keep u busy and keep u playin...I hope u guys keep bringing the fun...awesome game!!!!

Awesome game, tons of fun!!! Only thing that I don’t really care for is the fact that your character fights league matches while you’re away from your phone. I’ve been doing great, racked up my stars, and come back after a day or two to half my star count and a losing record. That’s my only gripe though.

This is a fun game to play, though it has some limitations. It’s clear you gain a big advantage if you can pay for gold, allowing you to quickly level up your equipment and skills. However, for free to play you can make up for some of this with intelligent gameplay (learning how to dodge your opponents attacks effectively) That being said, it only works up to a certain point. IMO, the jabbing AI is broken, making it nearly impossible to beat an opponent stronger than you. For uppercut and hook heavy opponents, with better skill you can learn the patterns to quickly avoid punches and then counter them. This gets harder as the opponents skills get better and more diverse, but it’s still possible to beat them. However, for a jabbing opponent, weaving becomes almost a foolish thing to try (which the game also tells you), and even if you manage a weave your opponent will invariably dodge your counter hook or uppercut. Now, the game tells you guarding is the best method in order to wear out a jabber by knocking his endurance stat down and making him slower. In my experience though, this doesn’t matter...I will guard out a jabber to lower endurance, and then when I try to hit him back with a hook or uppercut the opponent STILL invariably dodges them. So basically my boxer is too slow no matter what I try, and a loss is all but guaranteed. The only way to really counter this is to make your boxer stronger/faster...and, well, that takes time for those of us who are t throwing money at the game. Another nitpick, the promoter matches don’t give you any indication of opponents skills prior to the match. So if I happen to be matched up with a jabber, then tough luck I guess. Knowing ahead of time at least would give me the chance to change out equipment/skills to better match up the opponent. All that being said, this really is a fun addictive game. Opponents are often challenging but usually beatable (except the jabbing opponents). Free to play is a grind but patience does pay off.
