Unreliable, Useless

I’ve been using this app for months and adding words and phrases to the block list. Today, after an apparent update, my entire list was wiped clean. ————— Update: Never write a review when annoyed. I hate what happened to my data. I liked the app and have decided to use it again, and only for a few entries. If stability holds and those don’t get deleted on the next update, I’ll forgive and forget.

Doesn’t catch the junk texts. Updated the app through the App Store and it wiped out my list of over 300 blocked phone numbers.

This app was working fine until the recent update. Then after updating it deleted my entire list. Now back to square one with unwanted texts all day and night. My suggestion: DO NOT UPDATE!

Thank you for keeping it open source and open to accepting pull requests. I would not let a close sourced app process text messages and Bouncer is a perfect solution for privacy conscious user.

I get an average of 3+ spam texts per day, and while it wasn’t working at first once I realized that the one thing all these scammy annoying messages have in common is that they always have hyperlinks to multi-redirect sites, and added “http” to my filter, I haven’t actually gotten a notification for one in 3 days! Thank you, developers! I’ve had my phone number for 13 years and was starting to seriously consider changing it because I was going batty with the non-stop spam texts.

Couldn't be simpler. Nothing fancy. Does what it says. I added a filter for http and I got a message with a link and this app flagged it as junk. If you wanna totally block a number iOS already has a feature for that. My phone company also has an app for spam calls. Don't know why filtering isn't a standard iOS feature, but I am happy this app does the job.

I want to say “thank you” for making this app available. I had to change phone numbers recently and I inherited a phone number with a bad history almost a month ago. ??♀️ I discovered your app after weeks of annoying, unsolicited spam and scam texts. I’m still tweaking my word list, but I’ve already seen unwanted texts sorted into the “SMS junk” folder. ??
