Haven't played the free version, but read lots of complaints. The only thing I've found to buy are four level packs. Treasure chest drops are fair. I'm not sure what happens when you run out of a consumable, but I currently have over 40 of each. Seems like a fair premium version of the game so far. I would recommend it.
... except better. Controls are easier and falling diamonds don't kill you. If you liked this back in the 80's you will love it now.
