Bored Chat allows you to meet new people when you'd otherwise be mindlessly surfing the net.
But what really makes Bored Chat interesting is that all chats are PUBLIC. Yup, that's right, welcome to the age of no privacy!
So not only can you meet new people, you can actually view other people's conversations first. In other words you can make sure they're actually interesting before saying "hi"! There's one thing we don't tolerate here at Bored Chat and that is boring people!
Now, if you're super, super bored, you can just lurk for a while and watch other people make totally-not-cringeworthy conversations!!! (Seriously, there's some really, really totally-not-cringeworthy conversations on Bored Chat. Mostly by the staff of Bored Chat tbh.)
And who knows, you may just find someone interesting to talk to. You can tell a lot about someone by how they interact with others: are they witty? Are they friendly? Are they respectful? If the answer is yes, simply strike up a conversation by saying "hi".

Great socializing app! Good for people who don’t have a lot of people to talk to. No identification requirements so it’s purely anonymous. Highly recommended to those who enjoy meeting new people. The creator of this application is very courteous and has helped thousands of people make connections with others. I’d also like to mention all chats are public however, $1 a week = private chat.

I asked to have my data cleared at an earlier point. This was done nearly instantly and effortlessly - I appreciate that a lot, but now I think the side effects of whatever was done are showing. I’m completely unable to message anyone, even the developers! My messages show up as sent, but I receive no responses at all. I also get absolutely zero new messages. I really like this app, and would love to keep using it. I met one of my closest friends on it and would appreciate the chances of making more. I’m hoping the developers see this and reach out with intentions of helping fix my issue :)

It’d be nice if we could tell if the other person is typing, and maybe have reply system for a specific message in case there’s multiple threads in a single convo. Also need to see our list of block accounts.
