NOTES AND TIPS
1. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Boomerang does minimize the use of the GPS when not being used for events such as check-in and setting changes.

2. Setting age restrictions will hide apps from your child’s device and when those restrictions are removed, apps will not go back to their original locations (ie: custom folders). This is normal behavior.

3. Your child can remove the Device Profile that we install - there is currently no way to secure this but we do provide a notification to parents if it’s removed. The Device Profile allows for mobile device management which sets the restrictions on your child’s device.

4. iPhone 4s is not supported due to its smaller screen.

It glitches so much, and when it glitches, it shuts down your whole phone, and you can’t do anything on it. I don’t like it

I have been using Boomerang for a few years now with my kids’ devices. My main interest was to be able to view text messages, manage time, and filter web content. Boomerang works really well- BUT on my kids’ Android phones. Great customer service and affordable. I use the parent mode app on my iPhone where you can do a lot of viewing and adjusting.

Boomerang has been great and helpful in getting a refund. I wanted this app to work so bad, but with the restrictions Apple put on these things, it would not help keep my daughter off of things she was not allowed to be on. She was able to just delete the app. I bought my kids iPads and am now regretting this decision because I have no parental control. My 10 year old daughter hacks it constantly!

These Kids all mine? 6!!

This app is just what we needed for our preteen children that have phones. Whenever we have an issue with the app (which is rare), they get back to us right away to get the issue resolved. No complaints here!!

If you don’t turn your child’s phone off before the scheduled time is up, it reorganizes all their apps into alphabetical order. It also can’t track calls/texts. Don’t get this. Period.

Location never updated . Web browser never did either so no info regarding websites visited. I was not offered a refund and hope that once it’s overdue to renew i Can delete. Contacted customer care several times and it was a hassled. Followed instructions and nothing helped, the response basically was “too bad”. I would not recommend this app.

So, I agree, unfortunately, this doesn’t work with apple products, and the controls apple provides are less than stellar, but it’s fabulous with android!

This app has been great. Any issues or questions that I have are very quickly responded to. Have been using for 2 years and am very pleased. The very low price covers all year.
