I’ve been playing this game since it came out. Love the updates and the new additions, especially around Halloween and the holidays.
Still playing after 3 years

Warning long review: TL:DR; learn how to attack and defend by watching replays, you won’t have to spend any money to advance, just need time. People that cry pay2win just want things handed to them. I say learn2play. I having been playing Boom Beach for almost 3 years, over two phones. This game is a blast. I love how you can play in a group for OP’s, but a majority of the game is up to the skill of the individual. I see a lot of reviews saying how you need to throw “truck loads” of money to advance. In 3 years I have spent about $60. The reason I spent that money was I was sour that I couldn’t beat a base I thought I could. I used the money to train troops faster. I have not spent a dime on my buildings. I have no issue getting resources to build what I want. If you take the time to learn how to attack effectively and also watch your replays of how you lost, you can gain the knowledge to know what bases you can win and not waste time and resources on losses. Same with base defenses. Don’t throw you defenses around randomly. If you learn how to defend against most attacks, you can keep your stuff. You can never have a 100% success rate with defense, but if you are smart you can do well enough to keep enough resources to advance. It’s really easy to gather what you need for the one upgrade at a time. Even at end game it only takes me 2 days of gathering for me to upgrade, and that is with being attacked. I never ran into a pay wall, nor see any pay to win elements. The game is very generous with diamonds, and I have over 1000 from just finding them around the map, and successful defenses. Pure strategy for both offense and defense at its best.

I have been in the game for 2 years and I have be maxed out for a while. I have a lot of resources to use and nothing to use it on! Me and my team are getting really bored with this game! Any chance you can add more bases and weapons for us to build and upgrade?? Well I know this is a patience game but a team and I are losing interest and I believe many others are too! Thank you

You play on their terms. It makes it not fun being told you have to destroy something or you will be demoted. If you are going use up data; at least enjoy a good game.DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!
Builders issue

It says I’ve been subscribed for the extra builder fo the past 2 months and have been taking it out of my checking account for the past 2 months with charges of $2.99. I’m addicted to this game and spend a lot of money on it and I am about to quit playing because of those. I love this game a lot but taking my money ruins it for me. Please fix or reimburse me please somehow. It has put me behind in levels with my friends because of this.
