This App is good, but with a few added features it would be great. The EQ really needs a bypass function so you can A-B the sound. It also needs to add a Q parameter because not being able to adjust the Bandwidth is frustrating. And only 3 EQ Bands, really??? And I was really surprised to find that there isn’t a Copy and Paste function for the sliced loop bars. Lastly, adding a Pitch Parameter for each slice would really make this app Amazing. I will change my review and give this app 5 stars with at least some of these needed features.

Blocs Wave and Launchpad, a dynamic duo!

None better on the App Store.

I have purchased every loop based app on the App Store and find that Launchpad coupled with Blocs Wave is the best bargain, bar none. I am an accredited music producer, who feels the ability to modify, then export entire songs worth of phrases is a tremendous advantage. Especially considering most packs are only a dollar or two. I wish I could share my most recent production using these products, in this post to showcase the professional quality achieved with an iPad, these apps and a few hours of my time. Simply amazing! Keep nailing it Novation and you will have a fan for life!

Especially since as of a few updates ago Launchpad packs open in Blocs, this is usually where I lay out the framework for a track. I dig into different loops and tempos, keys, until I get a vibe I’m really liking, then I export it out elsewhere and flesh it out more. Sometimes I swap the loops out, sometimes not, but regardless the sound you get out of this app (and more importantly the inspiration) is worth every bit of time and money put into it.

Ok so I’ve been with blocs wave for over two years I’ve had 0 problems until now. I keep trying to purchase the Lo-fi hip hop pack but after I put in my Apple password and it says success it says unknown error and won’t download I go back and it has the price tag still on so I do it again and same thing. I’d just like some answers I’m sure it’s fine I just want it figured out Thnx!

This app is a great go to for getting the creative juices started and creating the loops and sounds of new songs. In conjunction with Launchpad it is a great team and really helps the song writing process.

I wish that was an option to record live the session...that will help to make the track here and avoid to export to live! More I like to see some filter knobs on a new window for live performing ;-) thanks and much respect marcello

If you are into to music production this is a MANDATORY APP! The creative possibilities are endless. Blocs Wave is very intuitive and the layout is perfect which makes it easy to learn. If you have writers block and you need to jumpstart your inspiration then this is definitely for you. Being able to import/create your own loops with ease is a must.

Amazing but a few bugs keep it from flawless

Okay, I gotta be honest, it’s hard not to give it 5 stars bcz I use it so much and if it were any other app these bugs would have made it a 2 or 3 star review so that speaks volumes of how useful and well put together the app is. Great sound packs available, exporting to launchpad, and what really takes it to the next level is uploading your own loops/sounds. There are a few complaints I just can’t over look tho. First is I feel as though (and I mentioned this in my launchpad review) 6 sounds just isn’t enough in one section. More would be excellent along with the choice of how many you would like for that particular piece. The next is probably my most frustrating bug which I would say is top priority in fixing, sometimes I will spend an hour trying to upload loops and I’ll have my list ready to import finally, I hit import.....app crashes. Lose all of it. I can not tell you how angry that makes me. Such a waste of Time. Along with that, it would be so much easier if when selecting your loops to upload you could check multiple loops from wherever you’re uploading instead of only one, go back, scroll down, select next, repeat. It also does random things to the volume of my loops....some port over extremely loud, others far too quiet. They did fix the bug where it would freeze and crash anytime you left the app so thank you for that. Bottom line, it’s nearly flawless. These gripes won’t stop me from using it, it’s just it keeps it from perfection. If they fix those mentioned things, easily 5 stars.

I’m tired of people who want to MAKE their own music are usually blocked by a massive gate with a price tag on it... at least give us a demo of the features we can use to make stuff
