Really, really fun

R gunn

I'm taking time out to write reviews of some games I've been playing because I want to support these awesome game designers. This game is incredible. I had so much fun, and a couple times my brain almost exploded but I was always able to find the solution. I paid $0.99 for this on sale, but would gladly pay $4.99 for this caliber game. It took me about 5 hours to complete (getting all the boxies and the gold trophy), bang for buck that is worth it to me. Look forward to seeing more from these fine folks. Tip for new players: on the later levels you really have to get creative and think outside the box. Remember you can use your colorizer bomb to change teleport hole colors to the one you need! Also sometime you have to use a bomb to blast a boxie or another bomb closer to you or to another platform. Don't give up!

Very nice game. Sharp graphics, controls are fairly intuitive. Fun game play. Creative and original.

Lord QWERTY said it best

Whilst reading reviews, I found that Lord QWERTY and I have a similar opinion. Quoth Lord QWERTY: "Well made, yet awful controls. The art is lovely, concept original, but the controls are terrible. [They are] annoying to use; the interaction with picking up bombs is awful. Swapping bombs and throwing, only to realize you picked the wrong one, and having to restart the level is aggravating. 5 stars on everything else, but the controls make things harder in a bad way." I'll add that having a boxie bounce out of the world off a robot instead of the robot grabbing it is aggravating; having several later levels designed to set you up for this kind of failure is doubly so. Getting a boxie to hit a robot should be equivalent to moving a robot over a boxie. The throw mechanic can be terribly frustrating when missing a demanding target results in the bomb bouncing back to your robot's feet; you're launched out of the world and must restart. This isn't a mechanic that makes the game more challenging and fun; it makes it annoying. An indicator of the throw arc in 3D space would rectify this. The last several levels in Plastic Paranoia switch from a "solve this puzzle" game to a "overcome these abysmal controls to make precision throws" game where the price of missing a pixel precision toss often necessitates a level restart. The designer of these levels conflated aggravating with challenging.

The Perfect Puzzle Game

Lil Pips

I love this game. It is absolutely beautiful and runs smoothly even on my iPad2 (with no crashes). The puzzles are really clever, and (most of the time) you feel that it is your fault when you fail. I have no problems with the controls, and for the amount of actions you can take in the game I think they work very well. The only downside is that I want more levels. I would buy them as IAP, as this is a game I would continue to support.

Cute and Explosive Fun

Corey Davis

This is a fun platform puzzle game where the goal is to save three little buddies on each level. Depending on the level, you play between one and many robots and have access to different kinds of bombs. Blowing stuff up is lots of fun and on some levels it is quite challenging to save your little friends. The controls are a bit janky and difficult to use, even after playing for several weeks, but it really doesn’t take away from the fun.

Kept me busy for ages. Love everything about this game. Update Please!

I love this intelligent game, but...

cytgirl

I love this game. It is fun, intelligent, and very compelling. I could play it for hours and never get bored! And I would definitely give it a 5-star review...if not for the control issues I've been having. The controls stick a lot and are rather irritating, and lately so have been having an issue with bombs disappearing. I'll throw a bomb at a block that dislodges another bomb, and suddenly that bomb will just *poof!* disappear after landing on the maze. And no, it's not landing outside the maze and shattering. It's just disappearing. This is very annoying because it has prevented me from finishing several levels - the bombs that are disappearing are crucial to the completion of the level. Another problem is the robots suddenly freezing and then coming up with the "you fell off" message, even though I didn't actually fall off. I sure would appreciate having these issues fixed. But other that, the game is great!

Love this game!!

Please make a new version of this game! It was fun and challenging. But I finished it and need the next level…Ok I just need another version but not too difficult.

Excellent game, not enough though

I love this game, I just think the developers completely forgot about it and moved into something else. There has not been any new levels for ages...!
