BLAM Sci-Fi is a BLAST! Pull out your pulse weapon and use your friends for target practice! Save the world from alien invasion or maybe just politicians. Defend your title as King of the Couch! How much more versatile can an app get? Really now, it's an excellent augmented reality app. Lots of fun and everyone wants in on the fun when they hear you blasting away. Can't wait to be able upload videos to share!

Seriously. Fantastic idea. But it's not just the ability to use cool weapons on unsuspecting targets (like my Dachshund), it's also the features that are loaded into the app. For instance, the ability to adjust distance for each weapon (which affects the time it takes for secondary explosions to erupt) and the descriptions for each make endless running and gunning super fun. Combines the best of Star Trek, Doom and Aliens all into one app. Nicely done, Mars Digital Group!

I was disappointed to find out this was not a gam at all. There is nothing to shoot at other than what the camera sees. I was expecting some kind of enemy to pop up that would take some degree of skill and/or practice to hit. This is nothing more than a novelty that even a five year old would get bored of in a few minutes.
