This is a game to train you to be proficient in the basic strategy table of blackjack. This strategy is the most important thing that you should know about blackjack before playing. Following the table will give you the best move (Hit, Stand, Double Down or Split) statistically, given you do not have any knowledge on the distribution of the rest of the cards in the decks.
The strategy is only based on the dealer's card and your cards in a round. You will not need to count or memorize cards (Counting cards or memorizing cards will be a more advanced strategy). Inside the app, there is a "Show Strategy Table" button which shows the basic strategy table.
We also have added a leaderboard and some achievements in the Play Center, so play hard and try to be the number one among your friends or in the world!
This basic strategy is for the most common settings you will find in casinos - 4-6 decks of cards, dealer stands on soft 17, double allowed after split.
There are variations to this basic strategy, depending on the number of decks used, whether the dealer hits or stands on a soft 17, and whether double down is allowed after split or not, whether surrender is allowed or not, etc. If this app is popular, we will definitely include these variations in the next update.
The free version will have ads popping up from time to time. The in-app purchase of the app will disable the ads.

It could be a good app

In general the app works quite well but it’s ridiculous to have a 5 to 10 second or even longer add every five plays. It’s just nuts, and there is no way to turn the sound off on the annoying advertising. I played it for about 10 minutes and uninstalled it. I would’ve kept it if not for the obnoxious advertising.

Used to have ads at acceptable intervals. Now they whored themselves out to several ads every 4 or 5 hands - taking momentum away from the game. And these are the ads you have to suffer through a min. of 15 seconds before closing. By that time i forgot what the previous hand was if i want to check the strategy table.
Splits don't work

This would be a cool app, except that the split option always yields a "wrong answer" - even on 8s and Aces! Unfortunately, I didn't discover this until after I paid for the upgrade. Almost worthless if its not accurate. I wish I could get my $3 back.

The game uses a basic strategy card made for a table where the dealer stays on soft 17. Considering how no casinos play with these rules anymore, the app has no use whatsoever.

I'm just trying to brush up on my limited BJS skills before an infrequent trip to a casino. I find it very helpful, but I have one important recommendation: when you make an error, you should be able to either go back to review the hand when you make an error or the hand should stay on the screen so you could review your mistake. This would be a big help to improve your game Now, you just see an X and the cards go away. Too fast to recall what was on the board. I hope it is incorporated in future releases.
