I love Rook and this game helps keep my skills sharp but why is my partner an idiot. My partner plays like a crazy person. When you’re fishing for trumps he won’t throw the Rook or the 1 in trumps if I win the bid. I can understand the opponent doing that but not my partner. It’s like it’s set up to screw me over. Fix the partner issue and maybe let me get a hand or two that is decent instead of a crap hand every single time and it will be a awesome game. I’d even pay a buck or two just to have the option of intelligence settings.

Fun game. I like that you can make your own rules and set it like we almost play. Needs support to keep it from locking up while playing on multiplayer mode. ADD THE LITTLE BIRD

Room was one of my favorite family card games when I was younger. No one plays it much anymore. With my partner Zeus, we beat up on Athena and Poseidon. 5 Stars!

I guess that I mistook Absence of Intelligence for Artificial Intelligence

The rule in Rook is “no crosstalking,” and I swear the AI opponents are doing it every hand. From bid rigging to always knowing their partner’s hand, this computer cheats like crazy. Still, the game is fun, and I win more often than not. Poor substitute for human players though.

It’s a fun game, but the algorithms are wrong. Your partner won’t throw points even if you play the blackbird card and are obviously taking the trick. Also, if the opponents get the bid it’s a sure thing that they will have all the strong cards of whatever suit is chosen. (Akin to table talk). It gets very frustrating when you get a mix of low numbers and trash cards and can never turn a trick let alone win the game.
