Audio,draw,text,picture all can be used in the board. My daughter usually is interested in drawing, so it is help to attract her.

The app used to work okay, but after the updates about two weeks ago, the speed became slow and some sounds/images would not load. Worse still, they have removed their contact method on their website. Nowhere to give them feedback or get support.

My original review... Which I emailed to the contact us email this morning... I love this app for spelling and sight words practice for the kids. But this recent update totally wiped my settings which means I have to redo all the settings on four kid's ipads. ? all the favorite cards got reset, all the games I'd made to not not show up in their user are now back and ALL the settings I'd meticulously set for four kids are now reset. I'm super bummed. ? I bought the paid version too. Sigh. Not ok bitsboard. ?? Update.... Customer service responded within 30 minutes with this reply... Eek! I am so sorry and totally understand your frustration. The Bitsboard app had been neglected by the old development team and we bought it and had to rewrite most of the code because the old code was not maintainable. That took us almost one year. Unfortunately, when working with code that is 7 years old, some problems were bound to happen. I am really sorry about that. On the plus side, moving forward things should be much better than before. You can even turn on Cloud Sync for your account and link your kids accounts to your main account. This way all boards and settings will automatically sync to each iPad. So all you have to do is configure the first iPad, turn Cloud Sync on and then everything will be mirrored when you log in with your main account. How to turn cloud sync on? Go to Settings > Account Turn Cloud Sync ON How to link users to your main account? Select the child account Go to Settings > Account Press on "Edit User" Now link each child to your main account (i.e. link the child to the superuser) I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions and if there is anything else we can do to help, Mike PS: I hope your forgive us and don't leave a 1 star review on the App Store. Lots of users have done that to vent their frustration. The frustration is understandable but if we get buried with bad reviews it likely means the end of Bitsboard because Apple immediately cuts exposure for apps with bad ratings and if that happens that is the end of Bitsboard and we will have to turn off the lights and shut down the app. ............. So.... I'm updating my review based on the fact that I LOVE the customizable nature of this app. It has worked very well for me. From what it sounds like... It'll only get better!

I have Bitsboard Pro but I’m thinking of purchasing the $20 full app from the App store so that the full versions can be used on my kids devices as well. For me to do that what I would really like to see is the option in the app to arrange games as needed so that my child can follow a set pattern of one game after another (example, Review, then Flashcards, then True/False and so on) so that it’s a progression that makes sense to learning the material. Other than that we love this app. ***UPDATE*** With the new takeover by happymooseapps my request has been fulfilled and they seem to be on top of addressing concerns so am giving 5*. There are still improvements that could be made and I hope they will! Worth the monthly 99c subscription to pro.

I first got bitsboard more than 2 years ago and it is still MY GO TO APP for everything educational. As a special educator and Autism Specialist I fully recommend and endorse the Bitsboard App. I had written a bad review recently, as bitsboard hadn’t been updated in over two years, however I found out that it is now under new developers and they are to thank for the updates that bitsboard now has. I’m thankful that it has come under new ownership so that Bitsboard can be all and more than it was! Love it ❤️

I already loved this app! So easy to use and customize and it creates so many games for learning to be fun. Endless possibilities. It had its time of neglect, but it is now in good hands and even more wonderful!

I have used this app for years and still like it a lot. Especially so because I can individualize boards for individual student’s needs. I am still confused as to the use of classes, sharing, etc. Since I work with students one to one, it isn’t a huge problem. I would like to be able to rearrange boards so that the ones I plan on using in a lesson are at the top. Who owns a board is also confusing to me. I’m very happy that Bitsboard is being updated and continues on. I find it a valuable teaching tool and would not want to lose it.

The app lets me create instruction aligned to goals and assess children, collecting data through email which can be saved in their drive folders. This is amazingly helpful. The new structure is tricky to adjust to, but I love having classes in which individual children may be added.
