There's some nice variability in the 8/16-bit-ness of the effect, though having to clear out the pic just to change those settings is kinda dumb. But here's the bigger problem: I hope you enjoy having ads pop up every few seconds, because after pretty much every action one's going to swivel up into your face. Very obnoxious, and very annoying.
I got it to convert one pre-existing pic and then wasn't sure what I could do next. I wanted to save it. I clicked around for a few minutes and encountered so many ads I uninstalled the so. There are banner and pop-up ads. The pop-ups are easy to accidentally click on and seem to show up at random intervals. This app is too annoying to keep. I will find something better or just accept the fact I won't be making 8-bit photos. Yes, the ads are that annoying.
Overlay ads fly in with every tap you make... and when you do nothing at all – on a timer. So within minutes of using the app, I was sent off to some ad destinations 5 times (!) because ads flew in just as I was tapping. For a silly novelty, no way I'm putting up with that.
Ads popping up every 3 seconds consuming the screen. Never seen an app this bad. Totally unusable.
This app isn't so bad, it does what it's meant to do, and for the other people complaining about ads, just put your IPhone, iPod, or iPad on airplane mode or turn off the wifi to stop getting them
