BibleMinded is a fun and easy way to help you memorize the Bible. Pick verses from your preferred translation and use one of four study methods to help commit them to memory. BibleMinded will remind you to review verses you've already memorized, on a schedule you set, to ensure that you never forget them.
Key Features:
* 4 Study Methods - Flash Cards, Fill in the Blank, Multiple Choice, and Audio Recording
* Pick verses from some of the most popular Bible versions including NIV (English and Spanish).
* Choose a series of verses from a list of select memorization plans.
* Sync your memorization work between devices.
* Test yourself to ensure that you have memorized the verse by correctly typing the entire verse.
* Remember to review your memorized verses with daily notifications. Set the time and days that you would like to be reminded.
* Memorize an entire chapter and BibleMinded will break down the verses in the chapter into manageable pieces and walk you through the chapter verse by verse.
* Designed for iPad and iPhone
First, the pros: -Multiple translations to choose from and ability to set default translation -Ability to choose any verse(s) or chapter from scripture -Design (color, font, layout, gestures) easy to read/use and pleasing to the eye -Multiple study modes -Test in which you type the whole verse without prompts -The "choose one" study mode works perfectly Now, the cons: -Optimization for iPhone 5 means that the "Take the Test" function is unusable one earlier versions of the iPhone. With a verse that is longer than 3 lines, the keyboard blocks the user's view of what is being typed--and the app doesn't appear to have any way to scroll down -If more than one verse is being memorized (I often do 2-4 together), the app does not notate where one verse ends and the other begins -The "fill-in" study mode seems to choose the same couple of words from the beginning of the verses every time
This app crashes within seconds of opening! It is a favorite on my iPhone, but it will not work on the iPad: can it be synchronized and the bugs repaired? Wishing you Godspeed and that the iPad version will become a reality
This app doesn't give you the Bible to find verses. You have to put your own verses in, if I knew the verses I wouldn't need a memorization program.
I am a staff member of The Navigators and have been memorizing the Topical Memory System (TMS) since college. This app is one of the most well laid out memorizing apps I have found. I also appreciate the multiple methods for review. The two features that would give it the same flexibility as using paper cards would be 1) the ability to create groups of verses to review at varying intervals and 2) having a means of tallying the number of times you have correctly reviewed a verse. These are two things that I can do with paper cards that I would love to have digitally. Thanks for the app!
I'm giving this app 5 stars because I love how it is designed and the concept. I have it on my iphone and LOVE it but whenever I try to search for a verse on my ipad it instantly crashes. I would love to see it work on the ipad!!
Love the app! Main need is to make it where I can make custom plans. That'll take it to five stars for me!
Love this app! I would love to see the following 3 improvements before I can give it 5 stars: 1.) option to memorize verse references 2.) option to create custom categories 3.) option to memorize correct punctuation
