Good and Getting Better

Kajoetdapa

This is the only Bible I use now. Nice to have the app synced on both tablet and laptop. Easy to maneuver between different passages and from book to book. Split screen function is very nice for reading commentaries or for comparing different translations. Hyperlinks from different resources save time. The NAS Bible with Strongs Bible is fantastic because English words are linked to the original Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek word with its definition. Functions for adding notes and highlights have been prone to bugs; nothing fatal but still annoying and somewhat worrisome. OliveTree seems to be addressing these shortcomings so I am sticking with this product for now.

Good...

I think it’s a good app that says the gospel well

Everything in one place

I have not found an app that has so much in one place and the interaction so seamless.

Great App

This is really a great app I like the bible choices, it also great that it pushes my study highlights from app to Mac! One suggestion I would make is reading plans. I have another app that I use for a topical daily reading plan then I close it open olive tree and do my notes and highlights. I would love the ability to do my topical reading within this app so I can drop the extra step. The topical daily reading also gives the amount of days in the plan with calendar. I would think this would be a great enhancement to the app. The sync has be challenging lately would love to get that restored also. 1/2020 I update The sync is fixed and there are new ebooks regularly which is great. I think they just keep making this better each update. Verse of the day is a little hard to navigate to but I think it may be user error. Can’t always find it.

It needs

Reviewing You 123456

Wish List/Not super user friendly 1. When you want to click on a text to perform an action on like highlight, take a note etc it can be cumbersome. When selecting the text the selection doesn’t want to just stay with the text it seems to fly to other text around it very easy causing it to be cumbersome to highlight, take a note etc. which this was fixed. 2. I wish you could select a text and perform any of the options that pop up (highlight, take a note etc) with out leaving the options. This was you could perform many options without having to go select the text and start the process all over again. Seems redundant.

This software application is simple and powerful allowing me to record my pastors sermons so they are available for review and study any time. Thanks Psalms 34:8 Please add the ability to attach documents and web locations to a Bible study Thanks John 15:7

Great bible app!

The best study bible I have used. Really convenient how you can look up words you don’t know the meaning of!

When doing Bible Study, I like to copy scripture to my notes. Unfortunately, when I copy/paste, it does not include the book, chapter, and verse. I paid for this app years ago and also have purchased the versions of the Bible I like to use for study. I now have to use another app (which is a free version) to do this. Please update ASAP.

Best iOS app, IMO

I made the switch to olive tree (OT) in May of 2019 after using print led material at home and youversion on my phone. I initially looked into and tried logos and accordance as well. Not only does OT generally have more free resources available to start, the cost of additional resources seems lower in general. I also like the quicker learning curve when using the OT app. I think logos and accordance are probably more powerful for serious study, but for a passionate layman, OT is great for me. The app really shined when I used it to read through the Bible in 4.5 months last summer. The resource guide was invaluable, and using it was a breeze. I can’t stress enough how much the app contributed to my actually following through with a reading plan (and finishing it ahead of schedule!) Since there is enough free resources to get you started, there’s no risk to downloading and trying it out!
