Simply the best

Skidd

The best amp sim out there period.

Weird artifacts, distortions etc

chromaticbird

For some reason I can't get this software to work as I'm imagining it should. I've tried two different electric guitars,3 different cables, double and triple checked my connections and there's still a lot of crap in there in the signal. I've played guitar since 1975 so I know what it's supposed to sound like. I have an iPhone 6 and the Jamup interface with an apple converter so it will work on newer iPhones.

The best guitar app thus far

xXselkiesXx

First off I will say I am NOT a fan of Jamup. Jamup was a great idea poorly executed. This app, Bias, is on the complete flip side. Yes, there are some digital artifacts, but minimal of all the apps I've seen so far. Also, if you disable your cellular data for all apps and disable wifi you will have less RF interference while playing. I play progressive metal and Djent. It took me about 5-10 minutes to dial up a tone I really liked vs Jamup which I have not found a solid amp. You can export your amp models to Jamup and they do sound much better than what in app purchases provide. The reason I rated 4 stars- tone qualify changes slightly and more background noise is present when you export to Jamup. I have emailed Positive Grid's support and they areole than willing to work with you on suggestions and troubleshooting. But the Bias app itself is everything I could have asked for in a portable practice setup. I am using it on my IPhone 5C with no issues. Great job on this one Positive Grid!

Pretty awesome app

Nouseforaname...nick!!!

I can't believe this thing sounds this good coming from my phone I never thought I would ever like anything like this. I know most guitarist put this app down but you know how guitarist are stuck on 1950's technology. Some of the few complains were that it feels like ever amp was design for modern metal or classic tube clean amps and nothing else. And the high gain was focus on low end I rather just use my my boss me 70 for lead solo. I wish they would have gave you crazy effects too instead of just basic effects. Another cool thing too is this thing actually sounds like an axe fx 2 on some of the tones. Who knows maybe people will be usein apps and tablets in bout 10 years for guitar tone and one more thing this thing sounds better than some of the actually gear I have which is pretty insane.

This update killed custom panel graphics

TheRealDutchee

No longer will any imported custom panel graphics display or save properly. Even all graphics from the Strandberg panels have disappeared showing incomplete amp panels. Same thing happens when exporting the Bias models to JamUp Pro... The custom graphics will no longer show up there either. This all worked fine until the latest update.

Stay away from the in app purchases

Chrismilnem

It's the best sounding modeler I've heard, unfortunately the in app purchases are not worth it. To start with, though they don't tell you, you can't share them between your iPhone and iPad. That's like buying an upgrade on your desktop and not being able to use it on your laptop. Also the in app purchases show up in your custom section along side all of the time cloud downloads and as far as I could tell so far the new cabinets can't be shared with all of the app default amps. It seems the expansion packs are more like patches than new amps. I tried using bias with bias fx on an iPad 2 and it's a constant clipping/dropout situation. The same goes for audiobus and these apps, so you want the latest iPad.

Waste

Estebae209

Nothing special about this. Positive grid is such a scam

Great tones and tweakability

MaliceCowboy

This is my favorite guitar amp sim. Along with JamUp pro for the fx, just great tones throughout. The ability to "mod" many different aspects of your pre and power amp sections is what makes this amp sim stand apart for all the others. A must have for players that want the best tones outside of actually playing a great tube amp....Bias is it!

Dissatisfied

JoeyGuitar777

Needs a TON of work, not even close to a real amp or axe fx like they describe, I've tried everything in this app and still after months can not even get a decent tone

Won't run on OS 9.1

Seanxwtysw

Won't run on OS 9.1 on my Ipad or my iPhone 6. Just freezes when its opened and does nothing.
