A dream come true

Philharmonicus

The access that the DCH provides into the BPO's concerts and more, makes it the portal to my dreams!

Balm and refuge

Odone Bisaglia

Being a symphony music lover and living in Rio, Brazil. And watching our world famous Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira destroyed by corrupt politicians, watching to Berlin Phil is a true joy for me. Thank you.

Issues

Greghales

There are some issues in this particular upgrade need to be addressed. When switching between concerts there some distortion in the options meaning the text The scrubber in some concerts still difficult to use.

Uptight security

Good stuff but won’t let me listen on more than one device.

Performances of a world-class orchestra

LJRose07

Listen to the many performances in the DCH, the digital concert hall, of the Berliner Philharmoniker is pure joy, especially when you live across an ocean and you can enjoy live performances or on demand concerts wherever you are. This is a 5-star app from a 5-star orchestra!

Crashes constantly

Juan de Mariana

Used to be one of my favorite apps. Now it will not continue playing longer than 5 minutes, even when it is the only app running on my iPhone. With either live or downloaded content, screen either on or off. Plus, media downloads take up much more space than they did a year or so ago, even on the lowest quality setting. Still works on the website, but tied to a laptop is not enough value for me. I've been a subscriber for years, but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere now. Too bad, Berlin is my favorite orchestra.

Amazing

Conductor Guy

The digital concert hall is the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Phenomenal experience

Likescalmandsimple

The camera/microphone placement and total production values are top notch. The library is deep and growing all the time. And the orchestra is, just wow. And being able to have all this from the comfort of my iPod Touch is a _huge_ addition to my quality of life. Can’t say enough good things about this app and the orchestra (and team) behind it. I have noticed that if I pause the music during a performance that the app can exit the performance and go, not just back to the set list that contains that piece but all the way back to the main screen. This is bothersome and I hope they change it some day. Still wouldn’t reduce my rating (5 stars) for the overall experience, though. Being able to watch this orchestra from the comfort of my home with the amazing care and attention to detail that they take to transfer the live experience to the small screen is just wonderful.

Just so thankful this access exists

FlashFlannigan

I downloaded this app years ago, but resisted subscribing until this year. The cost is minimal compared to the immense value of access to the amazing concerts and archival material contained herein. Thank you Berlin Phil for making this access available!
