Terrible. Texts were so much better.

If I could give the app 0 stars I would. Unlike their texts back in the day this app does nothing. I put my reminder for 2pm looking for something that would help me for my busy traveling lifestyle (the texts always came through on you actual time zone no matter where u are) but the entire week I tried the app it didn’t even ring to notify me. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS APP.

Super disappointing

I’ve never written a review for an app before, but I had to share my thoughts for this one. This app was referred to me by my doctor when I first got birth control I was excited to know that something will be helping me keep track of my birth control. Then to my disappointment I noticed an irregularity in my notification reminders. Luckily I caught this mistake early but this app DOES NOT send you reminders on the right days or anything. I’ve already spoke to my doctor to definitely not recommend this app to anyone, and I’m letting you know now too. Don’t use this app.

Not useful, not helpful for remembering NuvaRing. I can’t tell if I just don’t see it or if the app forgets to remind me, but either way it ends up not being helpful.

Love it

I love my Bedsider app. It’s consistent and adorable. Everyday I get a banner reminder at my set time and when I open it I get to read a super cute little message. Today my message was a link to an adorable video about sea lions and it said “you need this video about a sea lion rescue center in your life. Trust us, you need it.” And everyday the message is different and equally as fun, creative, and cute. The only negative thing I have to say about the app is that the notifications I receive about reminding me to take my pill are not as eye catching as i was hoping. I would recommend making them a little more colorful or creative. Maybe add a text tone option so you get to pick the noise your phone makes when you receive your reminder. And possibly make an option to have the message sent more than once at different set times so there’s no chance of forgetting your pill.

Only one thing I would change...

As a woman on the combo pill I have a week of placebos on my packet. I do not take the placebos, therefore it is useless for me that the app reminds me to take my pill during this time. My only wish is that they would allow you to have the week you are on your period NOT send you reminders if you choose. Otherwise LOVE the app and never forget my pill!

I am now tricycling with the period every 10 weeks with Nuva but you don’t give the option for that. You only have it set the single cycle with period every month. Can this option be added?

Miss the text

I don't get this new app at all. It says there is a snooze but I have yet to see that implement. I also don't like if your phone is not locked then it doesn't notify you like an alarm does. It just has a little notification on the icon. When my phone is locked and I check then it will show up in the home screen similar to a missed text/call/snap etc. The app is not on one of my first pages because I would rather it be more discreet and obviously I put my apps in order of how often I use them. So it's not readily that I would see there is a little reminder. Right now it's not an issue because the texts just ended and I'm still in pill mindset but once my off week comes it will be a hard adjustment. I think at this point I would rather just make my reminder on my alarm clock. Is there not a way for users to choose text or app reminder?! Super sad as I really loved this service and was so excited when a friend introduced me to the texts.

Doesn't do what it's supposed to
akristosik

It does a pretty bad job at notifying you when to take your pill. I have missed multiple pills already after only having the app for a week

I Had High Hopes

I've bee using the text message system for two years now and it's worked great. I thought the app would be just as good if not better, but the app is absolutely not helpful at all. The notification just gets lost on my lock screen with the other notifications and I keep the app on my second page (since I want it discrete) so I end up missing it once I open my phone. The texts were nice because I could just not open the text until I had taken my pill, but now I don't have that option. I wish texts were still an option.... Sadly, I will be deleting my app and will be looking for a new way to get notifications until Bedsider brings back the text message system.
