I have bought a lot of apps trying to turn my photo into a painting. This is the real thing. With so many popular masks, it made it super easy.

I use the artistic filters (mainly the artistic ones), and I find that this app does a brilliant job at truly creating a painting from an image. It’s possible, and it’s fun to also look at how the computer did it, like what strokes it takes at different settings and I can apply new things I learn from the computer generated version to create some of my own. Several other filters and options and settings and I overall, recommended!

I am so glad I paid 5 bucks for this app the other month so I was able to get in before the subscription scam started. My one-time purchase allows me all the features you now have to pay 3.50 a month or almost 30 bucks to use for a year. It’s not worth it and it’s so disappointing to see happen. Skip the subscription and buy an app for full price or that offers IAP for the content from a different dev that respects their customers.
Biggest Mistake!! Will never pay subscription.

I was going to buy this last week, but was too busy to use right away, so I waited for the next week to buy. Now I find out I missed my chance to own it for $5 and instead must rent it (if I want full capability) for almost 6 times more (almost $30 !!) for just 1 year!!! You can make a one time purchase for $80. Hmmm, let me think about that...not! A couple of days ago, I could purchase for $5. Now to “purchase” I need to pay $80. That is more than a 1500% price increase! Unbelievable! So developers, I was ready to buy today but when I found out your new unreasonable pricing structure, I just downloaded the app so I could leave this review and tell you that you made a big mistake, actually the biggest!! I hope you see the error of your ways and revert back. In the meantime, I’m deleting this app (even though you give us crumbs for free, as you so proudly replied to another unhappy with this subscription model). I advise all potential users/renters to boycott this app until this outrageous greedy money grab is reverted back to more sensible terms. An increase from $5 to $80 is beyond comprehension. What were the devs thinking? And if they respond with: we need a steady source of income, etc to keep development ongoing or to keep the lights on... I say I would understand that, but at a MUCH more reasonable level, like a $1/month, $5/year, and a one time purchase for $20. Even this would be a four fold increase from just 4 days ago, but what they settled on smacks of pure greed! Know this: I WILL NEVER EVER PAY YOUR NEW SUBSCRIPTION FEES! I know you can write me off as one kook, but time will tell how successful you will be, and I bet you will not succeed, and I’ll be smiling a great big smile thinking... I told you so...
BeCasso replaced four apps

In short, I used to have four post processing apps on my iPad. Now, I have just BeCasso. I enjoy the wide variety of filters, the speed in which they appear, and the output files are suitable for 8x10 without the pixelated look I would get from other apps. Finally, the customer service has been excellent. They take an interest in well documented problem statements. Money well spent.

I am loving this tool! Sooo many possibilities to tweak your best photos and to make something special out some of your lesser photos. My next goal is to keep this app in mind while shooting in order to push this tools limits.
