---- SUMMARY ----
In this highly confidential document we describe what we have found so far about the rules of Pingland. Your mission is to lead the "white dot" the fastest you can through the obstacles that show up in Pingland. On your way you will find many obstacles: dumb and smart paddles, invisible bars, moving platforms, attractive and repulsive items, sliding doors, stretching figures, puzzles, labyrinths, dungeons and so on. The laws of gravity and motion can change anywhere, anytime. It's your ability to discover the tricks on the way and avoid them as well as catching the bonuses. You are given a limited amount of time to complete each level. The fastest you overcome the obstacles the highest your score gets.
---- CONTROLS ----
Sliding your finger on the screen will influence the dot's speed and direction. Longer the slide stronger the acceleration applied. Keep touching the screen and you will apply the acceleration continuously. Your ability to influence movement can be limited on a screen by screen basis. Sometimes you can influence movement vertically or horizontally only. Check the HUD (Head Up Display) for the available modes. For faster accelerations you can use the turbo mode: slide with two fingers. But remember that the turbo mode is available for a limited time.
---- INTELLIGENCE ----
Our field agents have collected useful information regarding the Pingland surveillance system known as "OpenFeint". We have reports of global and local score tracking and a special achievements lock/unlock sub-system.
---- CONCLUSIONS ----
Be fast, be smart, BE SQUARE!
This is a game that drove me mad with its control scheme and I was ready for a one star rating. Bun then I understood how the controls work (reading the help, like it was for Stone Wars) and a real gem appeared on my iPod. When I've learned the "slide-and-keep-touching" technique I could solve every trick and stunt the developers put into the levels I've seen till now (the Ponganoid and Pingfall ones recalled some ancient sweet memories!). Well done!
i got it for $2.99 and its not really worth it. i think its a clever game but the controls are so hard! i read help like 7 times and i kind of get it but its still slow and unresponsive, and the turbo doesnt work. i dont like how its timed either. but i do like the quotes in the beginning, thats clever. just very sucky controls.
Great retro style game. Full, so far, of really beautiful levels: every one is a different challenge. Very well done!
I like the general idea of the game, but the slide control is unnatural. I'd like an accelerometer control…
I have an iPhone 3G and the game won't open past the be2 title screen. Paid for this and want a refund, I wasted my money. Please give me a refund. I will fight to get a refund if my request is not met. Anyway- don't buy this if you have a 3g
I like the whole idea of this game. It's very original and with many levels, all different from each other. It's fun and entertaining. The soundtrack is 'super'!
This is an odd evolution of a classic game. Odd and intriguing. The control learning curve is not fast. Beautiful level design.
good game fun mechanic and all but the control needs major improvement because the response is lacking even when they tell you how to move it won't work right so once that's fixed it will be great
I like the graphics and the gameplay. The controls are better, but not perect
