To play Battleship Solitaire, fill each 10 by 10 grid with water or ship pieces. Each row and each column have a number telling you how many ship parts are in their line. There are five different ships to find : Submarines (1 part), Destroyers (2 parts), Cruisers (3 parts), Battleships (4 parts) and Carriers (5 parts) ! All boats must be entirely surrounded by water and cannot touch each other. Will you figure out the solution quickly enough and beat the best scores ?

• Procedurally generated pure logic and deduction puzzles. No guessing!

• Autosave to continue each puzzle right where you left off

• A smart point system ! Each complete and valid row gives you 11 points and you get to multiply that by 20 or more ! But be careful, the multiplier will decrease over time !

• With Game Center implemented, you can now rank and compare Puzzle IO scores against your friends and challenge them to beat your highest score !

Fun, room for improvement

A fun game for fans of picross/nonograms/Japanese crosswords and/or sudoku. There is one major change I would like to see to make this a five-star game: the ability to restart a board. With games of this type, it's often hard-to-impossible to figure out where your mistake is, so restarting a board is usually a smarter tack than trying to find the mistake(s). I was dismayed to see that restarting the board isn't an option. Other (minor) quibbles: in Easy mode, at least, I'd like to see the board fill with water in the empty squares when you've completed a row/column. When dragging a finger across the board, the game gets confused and sometimes fills with water, sometimes doesn't. Different color schemes would be appreciated, as the light blue causes a bit of eyestrain. Tl;dr review: fun free game for fans of nonograms.

This game took over my life, not even joking. I never knew I was good at battleship or even liked it until I played this game. It's very modern and sleek looking. I like how it shows what rows have mistakes and the rows lighten when full. It's a great game, highly recommend it!!!
