Quite the gem

Definitely worth playing. I had this game on my old phone and played through the whole story. Creative and unique art style and very fun for a mobile game. Combat is challenging and varied, and controls are tight and responsive. Dodge roll! A lot of different weapons to choose from and they all have customizable abilities and upgrades that can completely change your approach with enemies. Want to swing a sword or hammer through some nightmarish heat-seeking crocodile monsters erupting from under your feet? Check. Rather use a pair of tiny pistols and shoot your way through the game from a safe distance? Also check. Every type of monster you face has their own little behaviors and weaknesses and they're all fun to fight, except for those crocodiles... The narrator, separate from the main character, provides a very somber western feel to the game with a little bit of dry humor too. Hidden collectibles unlock additional dialogue and memories from the narrator, one of which secretly puts you through a horde mode that I literally could not beat regardless of endless hours spent proving my mastery of the game. Download it, play it, let it become an enjoyable memory akin to the games you may have grown up playing.

The narration of bastion is perfect the visual style about the game is stunning like a moving painting. Gameplay wise amazing but sad that it cost 4.99.

I have little use for on screen buttons to control action games. I bought a controller for that reason, and stick to games that are capable of using the controller. While you can control the on screen action with the controller, mostly anything involving your bastion needs you to touch the screen. Very lazy on programmers part. If a game says it supports a controller, it should FULLY support the controller, not this lame half attempt.

I am so glad that I got this game! The art, the story, soundscape, and the gameplay were all pleasing. After I got used to the presence of the narrator, it was all too easy to become immersed in the game. Before I knew it, several hours had passed. I want more of this game, or games like it. --- After the update, the game sounds and narration no longer work on my iPad 3. No joy came of contacting the company. The game has lost much of its charm.

This game is well worth the price. It's not just a fun, addicting game, but also a work of art. The graphics and sound are great, but the story is what sets it apart. 10/10

This is a very fun game that has amazing weapons and very fun missions. It's a little difficult but it's sooooo FUN!! If you want this game I suggest you bye it!
