Camera

DuhGawdofRPG

Really cool concept. I like the story and everything just the camera I would enjoy improvement on. If I can move back a little more with it and more freedom.

Good, but currently hard to play

This brings back fond memories of trying to play the PS1 version of this game as a kid. As people have already pointed out the camera rotation and walk speed need improvement.

Cool

Love the game, but I noticed something odd...I start out as a level 50 character other than that its great

It seems so familiar...

I swear I've played this game before. Maybe a ps1 port? Not sure. All I know is this game reminds me of devil may cry as far as the visuals and music go and it has solid character customization through pick-up items. Odd that you start off at level 50 but maybe I just haven't played far enough into it as starting out high level is not too uncommon in many RPGs. Normally when you do though its during a tutorial or intro sequence. I plan to spend the rest of the day playing this game. maybe it will make sense soon.

Its an interesting game

But the camera movement is slow and makes it hard to maneuver thus making it hard to play

Amazing Game

L'envie des enviables

really neat port, nice graphics, great presentation. It delivers classic dungeon crawling with a unique aesthetic. The controls are fine, just tune up sensitivity.

Crappy execution

The game is confusing at best and the tutorial doesn't really help much. Normally I'd shrug this off and learn though experimenting however this is inhibited by a bigger problem. The game seems as if it were designed with another system in mind but ended up being throw on the iPhone. The camera and movement have stiffness to them that would work for a controller or keyboard but is a real hindrance on the iPhones small touch screen, you simply can't turn fast enough to do anything. I'd like to comment more on the game but I can't get far enough into it thanks to the above problems.

Excellent Game, but the port needs work

I have this game for Wii, and absolutely adore it, although the style of game is not necessarily for everyone. To anyone complaining that it's confusing, that's the idea; it's just that kind of game. Things take a loooong time before they make any sense, in the story mode. On the other hand, the people who complain about the controls are pretty much correct. A lot could be done to improve the way the game controls - I for one would love an option where left and right on the D-pad turns you rather than making you strafe. Also, in third person view the camera is way too close to the back of your head. I plan to play around with the sensitivity settings a bit to see if it improves matters, but I think ultimately I'll just keep playing the Wii version since I've already put like 100 hours into it unlocking things.
