When I saw this app I was so happy. It said 12+ meaning I could use this app. When I was making this account it made me check a box that said ‘over 16’, it confused me because it said that it was for ages 12 and up. Since I don’t have very much money, I couldn’t make it past the subscription screen.

Every time I get an email and click on a link for something I want to submit for it opens the app and it does nothing. I’m not taken to the submission page for that role and there’s no way to search for the project in app. Unfortunately this alone kind of makes the app nearly useless.

Trouble with last update

Hi, I have always been very happy with this app, but since updating to the latest version, I am no longer able to directly view projects from my email. When I open a casting call on my email, usually I click on the project title and I'm taken directly to the project so I can easily apply to it. Right now, when I click on the project title, I'm simply taken to the list of all casting calls on Backstage. This is a problem only with the mobile app. If I use my computer it's not a problem. However, since I am often away from home and rely heavily on the mobile app to apply for jobs, this is an extreme hindrance. I hope this can be corrected soon.

Backstage could be a whole lot better if they added some new features. 1. Backstage should have a button where you can click on the company’s name you want to work for and a profile you could look at. Although Backstage reviews them, I would feel safer and more comfortable being able to see the company’s work, social media, idk, just anything that gives them credentials or VERIFICATION. When I look at someone’s casting call I’m like,” Great! But is this an actual, legit company?” or, “Can I trust them?” 2. I think Backstage should have a more modernized layout or scheme, because when I open the app, the aesthetics of it or not very pleasing to the eye (just my opinion!). The entire layout (profile section, casting call section, etc) is so outdated! I bought the subscription, and the messaging system has an outdated layout as well. 3. I like that Backstage has the filter option to narrow down your search, but they should also have a SEARCH BAR or search engine functioning so you can search something like “photo shoot” and get tons of suggestions. Then, from there you can filter out everything. Something like hashtags would be helpful too if implemented. 4. This also kinda relates to the layout, but Backstage should have a home page. I feel like every app / website should have a home page. Adding a home page would serve as a somewhat “table of contents” for the site and give it a more organized feel. There, it would be cool to see a bunch of companies profiles laid out, to see some models and actors profiles laid out, etc. Here’s a suggestion (using emojis because I cannot insert photos): [Search bar] Welcome back (your name)! Get connected: ??????? <— these would bedifferent companies Profiles like yours: ??⬛️???? <— other models, dancers Casting calls you may like: ?⬛️????? ? Turn on your notifications for opportunities! - etc - Backstage, I would love for you to add my suggestions sometime in the future! :)

I haven’t really landed any roles yet, but I’ve also only had the app tor a short time. But just being able to be provided the opportunity to submit for auditions is great enough for me. I appreciate the opportunity and if I get to where I’m trying to be I will definitely never forget backstage

It’s honestly a great way to find local auditions/acting workshops near you without an agent, but I hate the fact that you have to pay and subscribe to apply for these things and view more information. I understand that you guys need a way to make money from this, but I’m just a beginner actor without an agent right now that doesn’t have the money for this and I’m desperate, so I would say this is pretty good if you have the money for that kinda stuff, but if you’re like me, then it’s kind of useless Thanks!
