Good Tool for Communicating Overnight

Dad with a 2 yr. old

We were having the worst time communicating about feedings and medicine overnight for our baby that has a pretty regimented schedule. My wife and I used to text each other information for the other at shift change, but we weren’t able to communicate enough info to make very informed timing decisions for the other person’s watch. This app allowed us to simply log medicines and bottles, among other things, and sync between apps so we could make informed decisions during the night without waking the other. Additionally, it is relatively flexible in how it allows logging and still get the utility from it.

Don’t get a new phone or be logged out...

Even though I backed up my phone ? when I got a new phone and logged into this app all of my baby’s records were gone. So now all the photos, heights, weights and head size from all of his appointments is totally gone. The only information that stayed was his photo and name. I’m so freakin upset! I DO NOT recommended this app!!!

Great tool!

So helpful for reminding me of when baby last ate. When it’s the middle of the night and he wakes to feed, the last thing I want to do is look at the time. This helps me review things when I’m (slightly) more rested in the morning.

This App is amazing

I love this app. Everything works perfectly and it’s so easy to navigate. My husband has it so we can be connected since he works nights and I work days we know when our baby girl is doing what. It gives me a peace of mind knowing what they do during the day.

Great tool for parents

Two dads and a girl

We have used this app for about 6 mos now and have loved it. One downfall is that they do not have feedback capable in the application and you don’t know if any one reads the reviews for improvements. As the baby grows and their eating is supplemented with cereal bottles and additional items like fruit or prune juice. Would like to see: 1. Being able to put multiple items into one bottle and track each item separately. Ie. 4.5 oz of formula, 2 Tbls of cereal and 1.5 oz of prune juice and 2 oz of fruit. 2. The ability to track the pee and poo for one diaper. Right now, if you have both, you can put them in one diaper but only track the quantity for poo.

I’ve used this for 7 years and 4 kids

Its wonderful to track all development and daily activity. I like that you can have multiple caregivers on a per child basis. Exporting to excel is also a great feature.

Good app but too bright!

I use this all day long but I wish there was a night version that would have a black background . When nursing in the middle of the night, I’d rather not wake the baby with the phone!

Can use for puppies too!

We have had this app for four years. We use it for all of our children and even added the new puppy! When our youngest child was hospitalized with bacterial meningitis at 3 months old, it helped us to keep track of what tests were done, what meds were administered and when etc because both my husband and I could not be at the hospital at the same time, so we worked in shifts. This facilitated communication and help us to keep the nurses on track and for continuity of care. If the doctor told us something, we noted it in the ap so that we all would have the same info. Our daughter is healed after a two week stay. Our other daughter has adhd and is underweight so it’s nice to have a history of her weigh ins and height checks and for the app to state what percentile in weight she is compared to others her age. When I think of something I would like to ask the doctor, I write it down in the app to remember for next time. We now use it for our puppy as we monitor when he was fed and when he eliminates to help with house breaking. When he was last walked, what shots he’s up to date on, etc. With a large family of 7, communication is key and this app is perfect for that! Would be nice if we could post updates to Facebook using the app to keep family informed, but that’s a small thing. Also would be nice to be able to back the data up to a third party location besides the iCloud. I’ve lost past data when deleting or updating the app and forgetting to save the info somewhere when the devices asks me if I want to delete ALL data from all apps. Not like I can pick and choose which app data to keep. Oh well.

A must for every parent during the first year

My husband and I have been using this app for over two years now. We like it so much that we still record the main events for our son (drop off, pick up from daycare, sleep times, and occasionally diapers and foods). During the first few months we found the app vital since we could get the answers for all the questions our son’s doctor asked us (how much did he eat, how long did he sleep, how many wet / poopy diapers, etc.). I always like looking at the overall gallons of milk I pumped, the number of hours spent pumping and nursing, etc. The only downside I can think of is that we would need to pay separately if we wanted the iPad app. We chose just to use the iPhone app and we like the instant syncing across phones.

Very helpful

My husband and I use this app for our daughter (first child), and it definitely gives us peace of mind that she is getting enough to eat and having enough diapers. It's great to help me keep track of feedings without having to remember how long it's been or which side she fed from last. Very easy to use overall. One thing I would like to see added is a nighttime colors/contrast setting. Even with the contrast on my phone turned all the way down, the bright background colors are very bright to look at in the dark nursery in the middle of the night. A darker color setting for nighttime would help cut down on eye strain and headaches.
